Here's my Review - hope you like it!!

The Weeks Before!

I have never EVER seen Avril live and I was so excited when I found out she was doing a gig in Glasgow! It was about November when I got the tickets from my brother for my Christmas, and I was so excited- the only thing was they were seating tickets… But at least I would see her!! A few weeks later- In January I decided to buy Standing tickets on EBay, and I got them a week later and was screaming so much – I couldn’t wait to see her so close!!! I asked a couple of my friends to buy my tickets from me- and they did. So My friend Eve and me had standing and Maddy and Emma had the seating tickets! For those of you who havn’t seen it I had made something for Avril- out of beads- that I wanted to give her or get signed.

On the way!
I wore my black jeans-bandaids top and had bandaids badges for me and my friends. I had told my friends that they would have to bring ID so that they would definitely get in _ as Under 16s would have to be accompanied by an adult and we look quite young – especially me! So we were in the car- fed with pizza and filled with coke- half way there (around 5.pm) when I realized I had left my ID on the table next to the pizza!! We turned back and I ran and got it and we set out again… I was soo annoyed at myself! But I though that by getting there early we would be like the first ones there…

When we arrived there were so many people I realized that I should have come much earlier- I was really upset that I would probably not get right to the front like I was wanting. But we waited and waited. And at one point me and Eve left the others and went to see the tour bus- just as the Jonas brothers were pulling up- so we saw them all looking…..lovely… Once they went inside we were walking past one of the doors to go back to the queue- and we heard music- my stomach leapt because it was avrl!! We pressed our ears to the door and right enough we heard the last few bars of girlfriend- the “heeeeeeeey , nooo waaaay no waaay hey hey !!!” I actually screamed soo much ! I couldn’t believe that she was really there!!!! So we went back to the queue and joined our friends and took some pictures. A couple of people commented on how cool the thing I made was and how did I make it etc. Then a man came past selling things that go round you’re neck- so I bought one (£8) and so did eve It was soo cold- the wind was really strong and my hands had gone numb and so had my feet. We waited for aaagees- the doors were supposed to open at 7 but they didn’t open till just after 7.30. When the queue started moving I was getting really nervous! I was holding my beaded thing and I wanted to take it inside and hold it up for avril to see.

When the man looked at our tickets he asked me what the thing I was holding was and took it off me! I told him I had made it to hold up at avril and he wasn’t sure if I could take it in, I nearlt cried- and I think he realsised how much it meant to me so he let me in with it. The first thing we did was go through and check the room out- There was a merch stand but I didn’t have a bag ( my friends in the seating bit took all our stuff) and I didn’t want to have to hold a t-shirt. So I bought the pink one anyway and forced my friend to wear it!! Haha! We then RAN down to the stage and were about 2/3 people back- but we could see well. Eve then went to the bathroom and then this guy looked at my sign and was asking me about how I made it etc. He realized how much of a fan I was and said that If I could answer a question correctly about Avril then I could meet his friend at the front and go there….. He asked me “ What’s avrils husbands name?” haha!! I was like “ Deryck whibley from Sum41 – they married on the 15th jully 2006 and got engaged on the 27th june 2005!!” lol he looked at me in astonishment and called his friend over we talked a bit then she went to the bar.Then i met Danielle- who had an AVRIL STAR tatoo exactly where avril has hers (left wrist)we spent the next 30mins /1hr talking about Avril non stop – and she asked me if I was a member of crossbones- I said yes, but bandaids Is better- and told her to join! (she gave me her mobile number and we have texted- she went to the tuesday gig too) when Eve came back she couldn’t believe I was at the front and neither could I !! I was just so happy!! The girl told me the meet and greet was after the show because Avril had been late. And she and another girl said I looked so like avril! I was like NO I DON’T!! lol!!

The Jonas brothers came on and played for a bit- I want really concentrating to be honest!! The youngest one was right in front of me and he kept looking right in my eyes – I kept looking away- I just found it creepy! and the oldest one came over for a bit while singing bent down and looked at my frind for aaages- she was creeped out too! Then eve tapped me and started pointing at the floor- I thought she had dropped something but nope- the youngest Jonas brother had chucked a plectrum and It hit her on the head!! And she picked it up and gave it to me… I didn’t want it but a girl near me said her friend loved them so I gave it to her. They were alright I suppose, but I just wanted Avril!

Avril’s performance!!

When she was about to come on I couldn’t breath- I could see her at the side of the stage and Girlfriend had started playing! She ran on and did the song- dancing laughing and smiling- all perfectly! (there were no LED screens- the place it tiny)
1. Girlfriend – amazing everything about it- she came over our side a couple of times and looked at my banner thing!!! She was so happy!!
2. I Can Do Better- Before this she said this was the first show of the tour and she was so happy to be back in Glasgow- that we made her so welcome

and she he introduced her band here I think!
3. My Happy Ending- she just went straight into this and sang amazingly- with a guitar of coarse!!!!
4. Complicated- she dedicated this to all her fans and said that it was a really special song to her because it was her first hit!
5. I'm With You – again PERFECT!!!
6. I Always Get What I Want- I was like the only one singing this song at the bit I was standing and she came over and bent down and I think she saw me singing it- not sure but I hope so I think it was after this she did a cartwheel!! And then she wasl like “wanna see that again” and she did it one handed!!!
7. When You're Gone- There was no piano which I was a bit upset about but it was a beautiful and stunning performance- I think I cried!
8. Innocence- Yep I definitely cried at this!! It was amazing!!!
9. Don’t tell me!- amazing amazing amazing!!!!
10. Everything Back But You _ this was cool – she said the “bitch slut psycho babe” bit the first time!! And also said the words wrong- the first verse she said “I wanna make you cry like I did a thousand times……” instead of the “stupid little note…”
11. Runaway- she was like “ does anyone want to hear me play th drums?!?!?!” And she was so good!! Haha!! Loved it!
12. Mickey _ she asked if anyone knew this- and Yes we did!!!!
13. The Best Damn Thing- Amazing amazing amazing!! Loved this song- dancers were so good!!
14. He Wasn't – she did the whole “scream and Shush” thing! It was amazing!!!! LOVED IT!!
15. Boyfriend (remix) Haha! The dancers were so good! They danced the first verse and then Avril rapped the second!
16. Sk8er Boi- she said thanks so much and that she had had the best time and stuff!!

She was on for 1hr and 20 mins! And it was amazing!!!!!!

Waiting by the tour bus!!

We ran outside and got good spots- there were about 50 people there. I bought a £3 poster- which I LOVE! From this guy selling them! And then we waited…. All the dancers and band came out one by one and I knew all their names- they had to come out the barrier I was standing at- I had to keep moving. So every time one cam out I was like – “wow that’s Steve…or whatever” and then Al Berry looked at my bead thing and stopped and said “that’s cool!” haha! When the dancers came out I was like! AH! That’s Sofia!!! She smiled at me and said have a good night! And then Lindsey came out!- she had a bit of trouble with her suitcase and ended up running over my foot with it!! It really hurt but she turned round and apologized like 50 times and touched my arm- and I was like it’s fiiiine!!! The security people said Avril would be 2 hours so most people left- and it was nearing midnight- we had waited for quite a while and it was freezing. There was only like 20 people.Then AVRIL CAME OUT!! She looked amazing and started signing things- she got to mee and looked at the thing I made touched it and said “wow! That’s really cool!” while looking me RIGHT in the eye!! I was like “ thank you so much” She then said “do you want me to sign it here?” and I was like “yeah that would be perfect” and she signed her name and put a love heart And I thanked her again!.

For everyone else she just signed Avril and didn’t really talk but I felt so happy that she spoke to me and signed her whole name!! She got on the tour bus and we all waved it off. Then I phoned my brother to pick us up- I was so happy that I was crying so hard and I couldn’t breath- I was hyperventilating!!! And I phoned my mum and she was really worried because I could hardly talk!! We got pictures out the front of the carling and then waited on my brother.

I literally had the best damn day of my life- it was amazing! Avril made my night so special and I love her! I was soo worried that the concert wouldn’t be what I thought but it was WAY more!!!!
I have pictures but they arnt that good- and I took loads of videos but they have VANISHED!! I’m sooo annoyed! But I’m sure that other people have some too!!!

At one point the First aid team ran over to our bit - couldnt see why- and avril looked really concerned- which i though was cute

Aaaaaaaand When i was wating by the tourbus I had to move out the way when Sofia went past, and the bodyguard knocked my Bead thing out my hands!! He STOOD on it and i let out a shriek!! But it was Ok and it only has a wee dent

PHEW!! Gosh those dancers really had it in for me eh??
