Thanks for the review, pictures and other stuff Joseph!
Yeah, the "gifts" aka the bag and the shirt really look , well, very cheap.
Sucks that the M&G wasn't that great for you. I wouln't want to pay 150Pounds for that either...
That they even didn't let you make your own pictures with your own camera sucks too.
At least the show seemed fun for you? Well, I hope it at least.
Thangs again for all the review.

I think that they gave you a bag as a gift for to put your stuff and go to concert, dont need any lockers : ) I thought it will be something made from glass, just like souvenir, who knows maybe in rest part of tour it will be something different... yeah t-shirts was very cheap.... well Im waiting for my meet & greet maybe it will be better, who knows... looks like the best damn tour is bad organizated...

hahaha. dude. she sounds kinda bitchy!
idk maybe she was just out of it; maybe she had jet-lag from traveling to Europe?
when i went to see her in April, she was definitely very smiley. but i felt it was genuine. it's still so crazy how she's no longer the rocker, deep singer that she was on Under My Skin. ya know? it's like she switched places with her alter ego. but hey, i guess her label was okay with her being pink and poppy; they probably think it's a good way to market her; more success = more money. and they probably figure that a blonde, poppy female singer will attract more people.
interesting review. it sounds to me like you didn't get your full 160 euros worth. i was pissed when i found out there was no program. instead, i bought a shirt @ the venue. oh well.

i' m thinking that maybe as Avril gets older, she'll become more sociable with fans and onstage... it didn't seem to me like she had much charisma; as in, owning the stage - having complete presence. sure she grew out of the "sad stage" but did she transition to a stage where she can be completely comfortable and fully express her artistic range? she's even admitted to making TBDT on the spur of the moment; like how she didn't show her label any of the songs until they were done/demos. right? sounds to me like she didn't take time seriously; sure we had to wait from 2004-2007 for new material. and TBDT is great; it's a solid pop effort. but did she back it up with full vigor? did she really go all-out when touring? she said she made the album because it'd be fun to tour with...
example: during Innocence, one of my favorite songs of her's and one of the most beautiful, she just sat at the corner of the stage, while a guy behind her was fiddling w/her microphone cord. it was like she was just singing it for the sake of singing it. it would have been SO nice and much more meaningful if she came out with this long, flowing gown, hair up, and had this glowing, blue light behind her. the set as a whole was very very simple; which is how she's seemed to have done it her whole career. and for WYG, it really kinda hindered the song's beauty by just sitting at a piano, singing away. i could only see her face on the monitor, since the piano was to my left and she was sitting, her back faced to me. idk if there's much you could do with that song, but maybe she could have dedicated it to people who have died in war; or even make a bold statement saying that people shouldn't be fighting right now because it causes such sadness in families. (i.e. that could be the moral of the song/or an interpretation)
even during Skater Boi, couldn't she have like, got the crowd more into it? like maybe shout "COME ON, SING IT!! woohoo!!" idk. again, there was a lack of charisma and connection to the audience.
the set flew by; before i knew it, she descended under stage with her little pink hoody on. to me, it seemed like she was trying to make a fashion statement throughout the show as opposed to making a creative, musical statement. i would have liked to see some sort of intricate set... maybe even a skit? something profound? it was just kinda like "okay, i have to sing these songs because i'm here and these people like me. here goes!" but hey, it was cool seeing her live. if i saw her during UMS era, i would have fainted i'm sure, cause she seemed so much more into it and really engrossed in the emotion of the album.
i could probably write more but will save you time! hahaha. i have pics too from the show, which i should post. yep!!

lol. yeah, that's when I saw her. april 12th. but i'm writing the review a month later, so I have time to write rationally. i was exhilerated right after the show of course. and it was great! but i'm just kinda analyzing it from an overall perspective; not biased.
