Ok, so I am notorious for not finishing fics because I start them when I have no idea where they're going to go. But I'm going to finish this one! I swear it! It's my New Year's resolution!
So anyway this is gonna be similar to Seyary's story (2004-2010), I'm gonna cover Avril and Deryck's relationship from day one. AVRYCK FOREVER!!!
PS: Phili, Steve is the good guy in this one!
PPS: I don't remember the details of night Avril and Deryck met and I'm too lazy to look it up right now...if I make any mistakes just let me know and I'll try to fix them. I really have no idea who was in Sum 41 in 2003 and I recall that Avril somehow did a stage dive the night the two of them met, so she was obviously performing at some point.
Edit: Phili has proved me wrong (well not proved, but I trust her)! But it might take a bit of work to rewrite it without Avril performing...I suppose my fic will be partially inaccurate at times.

I took a large swig of beer. Steve mimicked my actions.
"Wanna go watch that chick who's performing?" asked Cone.
"Yeah, sure. Isn't it that girl who was skateboarding through the arena?"
"Yeah, I think so."
Steve, Cone, Dave and I walked out to the side of the stage. There was a tiny girl on stage, so tiny I could hardly believe the sound she was making. She belted out the lyrics and jumped all over the stage.
"Hey, she's kinda cute," I mumbled.
"Yeah, I guess," replied Cone absently.
I watched as the tiny brunette started running toward the edge of the stage and took a stage dive.
"HOLY SHIT!" exclaimed Steve as she crashed into the barrier.
"That's gonna leave a mark...." I said, observing the girl standing up and laughing like crazy.
The stage manager came up behind us. "Hey, guys, you're on in about 20 minutes." The other three members of my band started walking back to our dressing room while I gazed at the young girl who was disappearing onto the other stage wing. She was awfully pretty....
Later, after the show was over and we were about to leave, I saw the tiny little girl again.
"Hey," I called out to her. I had developed a crush on her, but the alcohol I had consumed was helping me overcome my shyness.
"Yeah?" Her voice was remarkably soft, considering how loud she had yelled on stage. She looked a bit shy as well, she was hiding behind her straight brown hair.
"What's your name?" I asked her dumbly. I couldn't quite remember why I had called her over. Being close to her made my head spin.
It was strange. Normally, feelings of nervousness around girls I liked came from a feeling of inferiority. But I obviously had the upper hand with this girl, and yet she was making me feel like jelly.
"I'm Avril Lavigne."
"Oh. Uhm, nice to meet you. I saw your stage dive earlier." She smiled a little bit from behind her hair.
"Yeah. That was fun. I've never done a stage dive before."
"Is your leg okay?" I asked. Even though she didn't seem to be hurt that badly, I had been wondering if she was okay all evening.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine. I get hurt all the time."
"Okay." I knew I should probably get going soon, since I only had time for a few hours of sleep before getting up to fly back to Canada. "I guess I'll see you around?"
"Yeah. I guess." Avril turned and walked away. I couldn't help but stare at her ass, which was covered by a loose pair of black cargos.
Damn, I thought.
She is HOT. She certainly wasn't the conventional definition of hot, but something about her was really enticing. I shook my head a bit to clear it of those thoughts and walked down the hallway.
Steve was leaning against the wall, waiting for me. "I heard you talking to that Avril Lavigne girl," he said, with a stupid grin on his face.
"Shut up," I muttered.
"Bizzy's in loooove," teased Steve.
I turned and looked at the spot where Avril had been standing. "You know," I said softly. "I think I am."

I went trought the same thing with my old story ( In Real Life ) I had so many trouble writing it because I was thinking non-stop " did that happen " or " how did it go " and stuff like that, worst writing period of my life ..
