King Arthur Summons Avril

Hi everyone,

I'm new and my name is Chris. I've read a few stories here, but I haven't left feedback. I intend to, though. Here's a story I have written and it's about Avril performing in the Middle Ages... :P



King Arthur Summons Avril


A black, awoken sky passes by over the village of Barrin. Children go inside, women see to that and men whisper amongst themselves about a dark sign coming from the heavens. A young boy can't stop looking up and an old woman tells him: 'Don't keep your eyes that way, lad... Force them to the ground where the steps of your feet should take you indoors, where you're safe from the rain and who else knows what.'
Evelon looks at his feet.
'Thanks. I will do that.'
The wind increases in speed and the sun is shining for sure somewhere in space, but its rays are not received in Barrin. A shadowy tension rules it.

'Avril', King Arthur speaks solemnly, 'I have summoned you here for a very important reasaon. A devilish creature named Grangemonk has awoken from a deep sleep that lasted for twelve-hundred-and-sixty-six years. It has began terrorising villages and jumps from its dimension out of a black, darkened sky into the village that it has preyed on. You must locate this monster and destroy it. We will equip you with the finest of magic swords that we have: Beauty.'
Avril meets the King's eyes confidently and removes her lips from eachother: 'I will do it, Majesty, I will succeed.'
'That's what I wanted to hear', Arthur replies.

Grangemonk's heart beats like red fire and He makes his way across the clouds. There it lies, Barrin, ready for despair.
It makes a giant leap out of the high air and lands about a mile away from the small village. His eyes light up in various greens of evil and he starts to move beyond his landing destination.
'I will make them suffer', the dark thought spins in an infinte manner through his six-dimensional brain.
'I will hurt them' and He laughs wickedly, His teeth bouncing off viciously the little light that's left.
'I will do it.' Grangemonk stretches its muscles that have been spun inside a nightmare and He aims for the village. 'It mine', His voice whispers.
Avril puts her hands in front of her and says to Grangemonk: 'It's not. It's theirs.'
Grangemonk turns around surprised to face the White Knight Avril and Beauty.
'You?', it exclaims. 'How did you to teleport to here?'
'Let's just say Beauty got lucky locating you...', Avril counters.
'Well, be prepared to die! Horribly!', Grangemonk yells.
The fight begins. Twists and turns of Beauty threaten the Grangemonk, but don't do real harm. White smoke emerges from Grangemonk's mouth. Avril starts to think to herself how to actually get rid of Him. How to kill it. She smiles pleased.
'I see the soul that is inside.' After Avril spoke those words it happened.
'No! How did you know?', Grangemonk screams.
The sentence Avril voiced was Special Magic. To destroy demons is possible in a number of ways, not easy ones, and one of them was this one. To see the soul inside Him is to see His evilish soul for what it is. But to come up with these specific words is very, very hard. It takes a dedicated, brilliant White to do it and the way to do it is to be intuitevly and get lucky, basically.
'You lucky knight!', Grangemonk says. 'You just got lucky!'
'I know.' Avril removes her helmet and her blond hair begins to reflects the first returning rays of sunlight.
