-Deryck, can I ask you something honestly?
We were waiting in waiting room for Steph and the psychologist, Avril had been taking some tests these past weeks and now it was time for the result.
-Hmmm.. Sure babe.
I interlaced my fingers with hers and looked in her eyes. I think I couldn‘t find as much beautiful eyes she had.
- Do you think I have it? The depression I mean?
I used my free hand that wasn‘t holding Avril‘s hand and removed her hair away from her face, she was so beautiful, it just blew me away.
- I honestly don‘t know. Like, one minute you don‘t want anything got to do with her, but the next you completely adore Liz.
I took my eyes off Avril and looked at Liz who was sleeping in Avril‘s arms. She had just been feeding her and everytime she had been fed she fell asleep. Everytime.
- Yeah.. you‘re right.
She followed my eyes down to Liz. Soon Steph came towards us and asked us to follow her into her office.

We walked inside and both took a seat in front of Steph‘s desk where the psychologist was sitting, Steph walked behind him and rested herself against a wall behind her. He shook our hands and welcomed us before he started telling us about the result. Before he started I felt Avril‘s hand in mine, I could see and feel that she was nervous. I quickly looked at Liz who was sleeping in the carseat beside Avril‘s chair.

- The results show that you have what its called temporary posttraumic depression, or what its called these days on and off depression.
Me and Avril both looked at eachother before we looked again at him.
- Let me explain. It shows that one minute you don‘t want anything got to do with the baby, but the next you love it and want to take care of it. Thats called temporary depressions, where you have some episodes where you even don‘t want to see your baby.
- So it comes and goes?
Avril asked tightening the grip she had on my hand.
- Yes it does. I would say the depression is about 56% and that leaves the other at 44 %. But with good treatment which we‘ll start today we have a chance to eliminate that depression.
Avril looked at me with disapointing eyes.
- And how long will the treatment go on?
I asked him.
He turned to Avril.
- You‘ll be on medicanes for two months or so, and then we‘ll see it from there. But I want you to have a check up every to weeks at Steph‘s and then every three weeks at me.
I looked at Avril who was looking down and I could see a tear running down her cheek.
I slowly moved my head closer towards her ear and whispered.
- We‘ll get through this Av, I know we will.
