yeah my mum wanted my name to be different so she put "I" instead of "Y"
omg that eric clapton song reminds me of guitar lessons back in my old school.
every wednesday after school i would go to guitar lessons and i would walk into the hall and the teacher grabbed her guitar and started singing the song it was soo embarrasing and it happened every wednesday it was crazy

lol i don't think i have any portuguese or spanish blood in me. i'm part chinese, part eastern european...and that's just genetics of course. culturally i'm 100% american.

and i knoooow laila! i have had SO many people burst into song when i tell them my name and every time i'm like STFU!!!

Avril's POV

The next morning, I woke up and found that Jesse was lying on top of the sheets in my bed. I freaked out, wondering if I had slept with him, but then I realized he had just climbed in after he had woken up.

He had his hand on my lower arm. "Hey, Av," he said softly. "Morning."

"Yeah...." I rolled over to face him and he kissed me. I wasn't sure of what to do, so I didn't kiss back.

"Avril," Jesse whispered. "I feel so bad about what happened last night. I don't know what the hell was wrong with me...well, yeah, I do. I was really drunk. I'm so sorry."

I felt a little bit of the life seep back into me, but I was still weary of Jesse. "I've seen you get violent before, Jesse. Remember that time in Germany, when you beat up that guy who badmouthed you?"

"I was drunk then, too." I sighed and my head fell forward, as if all of my neck support had vanished. Jesse gently lifted my chin up.

"Avril...please forgive me. I'm so sorry. You're not my property, and I don't know why I treated you like that." I looked into Jesse's brown eyes. He looked sincere.

"So if I tell you I want Deryck...that's okay?" Jesse looked a little upset, and he swallowed hard.

"Yeah. I mean...I really like you, Avril. But if you don't like me...I just want you to be happy." I sat up and hugged Jesse.

"Thank you." Jesse wrapped his arms around me and patted me on the back a little bit.

"Hey, could you leave the room? I need to get dressed so I can go see if Deryck is still here." I adjusted my tank top and reached for a hairbrush.

"Yeah, sure."

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face while I got dressed in a t-shirt and my favorite baggy, black pants. I couldn't believe it -- I was happy. Everything was going my way for once. I hadn't felt this good since I had been offered my first record deal.

I looked at the piece of paper I had left on my nightstand the night before. It had Deryck's cell phone number and room number jotted down in messy handwriting. Room 322...he's just ten rooms away from us?! Wow.

I knocked on the door and one of Deryck's bandmates answered. "Whoa. Avril Lavigne?"

"Uhm...yeah. I...kind of wanted to talk to Deryck. This is his room, right?"

"Yeah. But, uh...yeah." He held the door open and let me into Deryck's room.

"Who is it, Dave? ...Oh." Deryck had an ice pack pressed against his cheek. My eyes widened.

"Oh my God! Deryck! How badly did Jesse hurt you?!" Deryck lowered the ice pack, and I could see that the area on his cheek was slightly red, but not bruised.

"I'm fine," said Deryck, but he winced as he said it. I felt a deep pang of guilt. The words running through my head were, This is your fault. If you hadn't kissed him...it's your fault Deryck is hurt.

I felt too embarassed to say anymore. I was so ashamed that I had caused Deryck to go through all this. He probably didn't even like me. What had happened last night was probably the result of Deryck having a drink or two when I hadn't been looking.

"Oh, good," I said softly, then I turned and ran from the room.

Deryck's POV

I watched as the door slammed shut after Avril. There was a prolonged silence in the room, and then Cone said, "What the fuck just happened?"

"I have no idea," said Steve.

"Will someone get me up to date? What the hell was Avril Lavigne doing in here?" asked Dave.

"Her boyfriend was the guy that slapped Bizzy," explained Steve, while I pressed the cold compress against my cheek once more. "They were...doing...something, and her boyfriend found them."

I wonder what she came here for, I mused to myself. Just to see if I was hurt that badly? I felt a bit disappointed. All of the excitement that had been in me when Avril walked into the room had left.

"You sure you want her?" asked Cone.

"Fuck yes, I'm sure!" I yelled in a sudden outburst.

I threw down the ice pack and chased Avril back down the hallway. She was outside her room, leaning against the wall and panting. Her face was tinged pink, and her small chest was heaving with each breath she took.

I walked right up to her, grabbed her shoulders roughly and smashed my lips up against hers. She gasped, then opened her mouth and allowed me to continue attacking her.

"Deryck...," she gasped.

"Shut up," I commanded her. "Shut up and kiss me."

Avril wrapped her arms around my neck. "Okay," she replied, still breathing heavily. "Okay...." We kissed until we had run out of oxygen. I pulled away from Avril slowly, resenting the loss of her lips against mine.

"Deryck...," panted Avril. She laid her head on my shoulder. "Oh Deryck...this feels so good."

I wrapped my arms around her waist and let her nuzzle against me. "Yeah," I agreed. "It does."

FUCK IT!!!!! Okay?! FUCKING FUCK IT!!!! Fuck the realism. I couldn't stand Jesse with Avril any more than you could. Phili once told me what it feels like for her to try and write Steve as an evil guy...well, that's how I feel now. Sooo...the realism is gone. I mean, ya know, I'll still have some details in here, but forget waiting another year for them to get together.

And don't worry...there is still plenty that can go wrong.
