The following nights were horrible. Each night I woke up after having had the same nightmare again and again and each morning I felt really bad. Of course, I began to worry that something was terribly wrong with me and I couldn´t really calm down anymore. Also my mother realized the changes in my behaviour and my mood. I had always been a really fun and vivid girl, always active, but now I had become more and more drawn into myself and more nervous. The worst thing was that I still hadn´t figured out the reason for these changes. It had to be something severe but I couldn´t think of anything that made sense.
As the situation didn´t improve my mom decided to take me to a doctor. Normally I hated doctors but I figured this time it was neccessary.
While we were on our way to the doctor´s thoughts were spinning in my head: "Maybe he will find out that I´m suffering from a severe illness or something like that. I´m so afraid, I wanna go back home,probably I will get better on my own..." I knew exactly I had to go there but when we had reached the practise I began to cry heavily. My mom tried to comfort me telling me everything would work out fine but I wasn´t so sure about that and I could see from the worried look on her face that she was also a bit scared of the results.
We took a seat in the waiting room and then the doctor came and said to me with a huge smile on his face like there was nothing that could bother him: "Hi Michelle, I´m Dr. Martin, please follow me to the examination room, your mother will stay here in the meantime.." "Good luck honey", I heard my mom say and I thought I could really need that.
"So, what´s been wrong with you exactly in the last couple of days?" he asked me. I told him the whole story and also about my dreams although he obviously wasn´t a psychologist but I thought I could be important. Then he began to check my blood pressure and found out it was a little too high. He also took my blood to send it to a lab for examination. After a while of saying nothing he asked me: " Have you got a boyfriend?" Why did he want to know that, I thought. "Well, yeah, but only for four weeks now.. Why are you asking me that?" He looked at me in a really serious way and even stopped smiling and then began to talk which were gonna be the most shocking minutes of my life...
