I do want to update, but I have no time at all at the moment, oral exams start next week and I have to study for them a lot, so I barely have time. But after the exams aer over on June 2 I will write an ultra long update!

hey, I´m so sorry that I didn't post earlier but I had kind of writer´s block but now here is the update! and don`t forget to comment!

“Is it over?” I heard myself ask because I couldn’t believe what had just happened.
“Yeah, honey, it is”, Mandy said and added with a smile “I’m so incredibly proud of you; you did a really great job!”

“Look who we have here, a wonderful little boy”, the nurse told me and laid the baby on my chest.
I felt tears coming up in my eyes and had no words to describe how I felt at that moment, it was somehow a surreal feeling, as if I was watching a movie and I was the main character.
As some tears were rolling down my cheeks I whispered “Hey little one, welcome to the world” Then I gave him a little kiss on the forehead before the nurse came and took him away to wash him, measure the height and weight and make some medical checks.

Mandy sat down next my bed and smiled at me when she saw that I was smiling and crying at the same time. “It’s like I told you, right?”
She was right, I had almost forgotten in which pain I had been the last six hours, it was like magic, and just one look at my baby reminded me that it had all been worth it.
“Yeah, it’s absolutely perfect; I would never have thought that I could ever be this happy.
Except that I wished my parents were here – did you already call them?”
“I reached your mom and she said they would be here as soon as possible, she almost freaked out when I told her that she is a grandma already”, Mandy began to laugh a little.

I wondered what Kevin was doing at that moment, if he thought about me… the fact that I didn’t know where he was and that he just had had the nerve to walk away and leave me behind was bitter, although I doubted that he knew how much it had hurt me.
My smile had turned into an empty gaze all of a sudden.

“You’re thinking about Kevin, right?” Mandy asked carefully.
“Uhm….” was all I managed to say while thoughts were running through my head like crazy.
“I wish I could say I know how you feel but I don’t, my boyfriend was one of those few guys who have the nerve to stay with the girls and not run away, but all the time since I’ve known you, you’ve proved to be an amazingly strong young woman. I just feel that you will manage this all, even though it will be difficult sometimes. And if you need anything you feel you can’t ask your parents you can always count on me, ok? “

“Sure”, I answered and a little smile hushed over my face.

“6 pounds, 8 ounces, 20 inches, everything’s perfect with your little boy” the nurse came back with the baby and put him in my arms again. Now that he was bathed and wrapped into a nice big towel he was looking even cuter than before and I could have sworn he actually gave me a little smile.


This innocence is brilliant, I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect, please don't go away, I need you now
