Okkk here's an update
 sorry guys i just got to a new place and finally got everything settled and finally get myself to write again. Well i'm adding Avril's mother name on this. cause i dont wanna refer her as 'her/Avril's mother' that often lol. ‘Ok breathe and push, push…’ the doctor assisted. Avril could hardly catch her breathe as the pain started to intensify, burning her spine and tears started to roll down her face. She screamed in pain and squeezed Deryck’s hand every time she pushed. Deryck looked almost startled at first, his hands started to sweat when he saw Avril in so much pain. He almost felt sorry for making her feel so much pain. ‘Almost there hun, just keep pushing’ he said to Avril. ‘I am pushing!’ ‘Okay we’re almost there, just one more tiny little…’ the doctor paused when a soft cry is heard. ‘Your little prince is here’ she announced with a huge smile and passed the baby to the nurses. Avril looked at the baby and exhaled in relief before she leaned back. Deryck saw the baby and quickly followed the nurses to as hey cleaned the baby and handed it to him. He blushed blissfully as he held the baby in his arms and kissed it. He walked to Avril’s bed and sat next to her. Avril lightened up as he placed the bundle of joy in her arms. ‘Ohhh he’s so cute’ she uttered with a huge smile. ‘You did good’ Deryck whispered and kissed her. ******************* ‘They’re cleaning her up and moving her to the room’ Deryck announced to everyone in the waiting room. Steve, Cone, Evan, Avril’s mother Judy, her brother and sister, and Kenna were all looking excited when Deryck walked out of the delivery room. ‘How is she doing?’ asked Judy, getting on her feet. ‘She’s doing great’ said Deryck and smiled. ‘So it’s a boy?’ asked Steve. Deryck nodded and said, ‘He’s Caleb Sean Lavigne Whibley’ ‘Cool name’ said Matt, munching on a Snicker’s bar. ‘Did you just make that up?’ asked Kenna, raising her left brow. Deryck giggled, ‘Nope, we’ve been talking about it’ ‘But shouldn’t it just include the father’s surname?’ asked Cone. ‘What? You have a problem with Lavigne?’ asked Judy playfully. ‘Oh no, don’t get me wrong. It’s just the typical way of naming kids’ said Cone. ‘Well we don’t want to be typical’ Deryck winked. ‘Excuse me sir, Mrs.Whibley is in room 218’ said a nurse as she emerged from the reception counter. ‘Oh, okay, thank you’ said Deryck. ‘Let’s go kids’ Judy sounded. And they ambled passed a number of rooms before reaching room 218 at the far end. Avril wearily turned her head to the door as they entered the room. ‘Hey guys…’ she greeted nearly whispering. ‘Hey sweetheart, heard you got a prince charming’ Judy sat herself next to Avril and stroked her forehead. ‘He sure is…Have you guys seen him? He’s in the baby room’ ‘Really? Come on guys!’ Kenna exclaimed. ‘Be right back’ said Judy and they all rushed out to the baby room except Deryck who was standing near the doorway. ‘Hey Daddy…’ Avril called. ‘Hello Mummy’ Deryck chuckled and ambled to her side. ‘Did that scare you just now?’ she asked. ‘No way, I’m a tough guy’ Deryck said pompously. ‘Yea right’ she laughed. Deryck leaned forward and kissed her lips. ‘You must be really tired. Get some sleep’ ‘Yea…don’t go anywhere’ she said as she shut her eyes. ‘I won’t’

 back frm the dead.... ‘How is she feeling?’ asked Judy when she arrived at the hospital the next morning. ‘She’s doing great. We’ll check out tomorrow morning’ said Deryck. Judy nodded and peered into the room. Avril was sleeping soundly with the baby by her side. She padded quietly into the room and stroked her daughter’s forehead before cuddling the baby in her arms. Deryck just stood at the door and watched her. ‘He’s an angel’, Judy uttered. ‘He has Avril’s nose’ she giggled. ‘Yeah, thank goodness’ Deryck laughed softly. ‘And your dimples and Avril’s lips’ she continued and made faces at the baby. ‘Wait till he opens his eyes’ Deryck said. Judy smiled and placed the baby back to Avril’s side. ‘Make sure she drinks this soup when she wakes up okay? No excuses’ she said turning to Deryck and handed him a blue flask container. ‘I will, don’t worry I’ll take of care of everything’ he said smiling. ‘I’ll be back tonight’ ‘Okay, I’ll be having dinner here with Avril’ he said. ‘Oh, do you mind if I bring some food over? It’s not really healthy to eat the cafeteria food here’ said Judy. ‘Oh, yea sure! I’ll let her know when she wakes up’ ‘Okay, I’ll see you guys tonight’ she said and hugged Deryck. ‘Alright see you’ *********************************** ‘Mum sent all of these?’ asked Avril as Deryck opened five steel containers with hot steamy food inside. ‘Yup, just for her little princess’ Deryck said. ‘What’s this?’ ‘Oh that’s the soup she wanted you to eat and she said no excuses’ said Deryck, pouring the soup into a bowl. ‘Oh my...’ he breathed when he saw the soup. ‘Honey, its black color’ Avril uttered and leaned closer to smell the soup. ‘And it doesn’t smell like chicken soup’ ‘It’s probably one of those Chinese Cuisines your mum has been experimenting on’ ‘And I’m the guinea pig’ ‘Maybe it’s not as bad as it looks’ said Deryck, ‘Let me try’ He scooped up a spoonful of the black soup. Closed his eyes tight and sucked it in. Ran to the bathroom and came back out with a smile. ‘It’s not bad’ he said, ‘Maybe we should skip the soup for now’. Avril laughed and said, ‘Thanks for being my little guinea pig’ ‘Anytime’ said Deryck. ‘Did you check on Caleb?’ asked Avril as she munched on the salad. ‘Yea, they’re doing the vital check ups before we could check out tomorrow’ ‘Isn’t he cute?’ asked Avril, smiling. ‘He sure is, just like his mother’ ‘Awww…what happened to his father?’ she asked, giggling. ‘Well the father… is dying to kiss the mother with salad dressings all over her lips’ he said laughing and leaned over to kiss Avril.
