i'm not so sure bout this update but i'll just give it a go or else i wont be writing

[Quarter of Delirium]

‘I don’t know, Sometimes I’m so tired and sometimes I’m all bloaty and last night I puked at like 2am’
‘Whoa!’ hollered Kenna.
‘And I’m late’ Avril added.
‘Gosh, what did the doc say?’ asked Kenna.
‘I haven’t seen one yet’ said Avril.
‘Well, you should probably go like right this second!’
‘I’m not ready and I’m…’ she paused.
‘You’re what?’
‘I’m a little scared’
‘It’s normal. My sister freaked out the last time she got pregnant’ Kenna laughed.
‘No…I mean I’ve got all this work to do and Deryck and I haven’t really plan or talk about it yet’
‘Does Deryck know bout this?’ asked Kenna.
‘I haven’t told him, yet. But he seems to be really concerned about everything’ said Avril, holding the cell phone with one hand and lying down with her legs on an ottoman.
‘Ok I tell you what, I’ll pick you up and we’ll go to the clinic together’ Kenna suggested.
Avril lied silently with her thoughts.
‘Hello?’
‘Yea I’m here. Okay okay let’s do this’
‘I’ll be there at 2.30pm’ Kenna prompted.
‘Okay see ya’ Avril hung up and stared at the unused pregnancy test twig she had bought from the pharmacy earlier but found it hard to gather her guts to pee on it. She wanted a real test in a clinic with proper appliances and accurate results.

‘Mrs. Whibley’ called the middle-aged nurse.
Avril stood up and the nurse led her to the doctor’s room.
‘Hello, I’m Dr. Jane. Have a seat’ greeted the doctor with a huge peculiar smile. Her short brown hair was fixed neatly on her oval- shaped head.
‘Hi’ said Avril and sat on the brown chair in front of the doctor’s enormous desk.
‘According to your urine test, you’re healthily pregnant’ said the doctor. ‘Congratulations!’
Avril gasped, ‘Are you sure?’ she asked.
The doctor smiled, ‘Yes I am. You can see here for yourself’ she pushed the printed test documents toward Avril.
Avril glanced down at the papers and then at the doctor, ‘How old is it?’ asked Avril.
‘10 weeks old’
Avril nodded and stared at the paper again.
‘I would suggest that you get a lot of rest as these few months can be quite tough for a first-timer’ said the doctor. ‘It would be nice if you could find a nutritionist to help you with your diet during your pregnancy’
Avril nodded.
‘Is there anything I could do about the nausea?’
‘Lots of rest and water will do. And try to take frequent small meals. It helps to alleviate the sickness and light-headedness’ said the doctor. ‘And don’t forget to get some prenatal vitamins. I’ll have the nurse prepare some for you’.
‘Okay I will’ said Avril.
‘I think that is all for now. You have to see me again after 2 weeks’ said the doctor with another huge smile.
‘Okay, thanks doctor’ said Avril and walked out the door hastily.

Kenna almost sprang off the clinic couch, ‘So so?’ she asked anxiously.
‘Positive’ said Avril.
‘Oh my God’ said Kenna and hugged Avril. ‘I’m so happy for you girl!’
‘I have to tell Deryck’ said Avril.
‘Call him!’ Kenna bellowed.
‘Keep your voice down. And just let me absorb all this first’ Avril whispered.
‘So when are you gonna tell him?’
‘Tonight, I’ll talk to him over dinner’ said Avril, pushing the exit door of the clinic.
‘Oh nice’ Kenna grinned. ‘So let’s celebrate!’ she exclaimed.
