The days leading up to Christmas went by in a flash. We had to decorate the house, get the tree, decorate the tree, and on Christmas Eve day we had to cook. We cooked from nine in the morning until dinner that night at seven. Given that Christmas Eve was celebrated at the mansion so that's were we had been all day. The Murray's came, along with the rest of the gang. When dinner was ready, we all sat at the table and said grace. When it was time for dessert, Avril went into the kitchen with our mom to bring out some home made pies. Avril came out with the lemon merange pie, just as she walked into the dinning room, she tripped and fell. The pie went flying across the room and ended up falling on my head. Lemon filling was all in my hair and down my shirt. Avril broke out laughing, along with half of the family. My face went blood red, I turned to Avril. "Oh, so you think it's funny, eh?" I scraped some of the filling off my head and flung it at her. She ducked just in time and the filling flew past her and hit my mom straight in the face as she was walking back into the dinning room with a pumpkin pie. "What in the hell is going on in here?!" She asked us. Damien piped up. "Well, Mommy came in here with the lemon pie and she tripped and the pie flew and hit Auntie Hope. So Auntie Hope threw some of the pie at Mommy cause she was laughing. But it missed Mommy and hit you." I had been sitting there laughing under my breath so no one could hear me. When he said that I just burst out laughing. Falling out of my chair and onto the floor. My face was blood red and I could hardly breathe. "I'm sorry mom, but damn that's too funny. I'm gonna run home and take a fast shower. I'll be right back."

I walked over to the front door and opened it. When I saw what was on the other side, I screamed. There was a man who looked like he had had the crap beat out of him. I called my mom, who came running. "What the hell is going on?" She saw the man and had him come into the living room. "Lee, call 911!" My Uncle Lee pulled out his cell phone and dialed. "I need an ambulance here. My address is 1329 Prescot street. Some man has gotten beaten up pretty badly." The opperater kept my uncle on the phone. In the living room my mother was trying to talk to him. But she couldn't understand him. "Mom what's wrong?" She looked over at me. "He doesn't speak english. So I can't understand him." I looked at her for a split second, then I walked over to him. I could speak spanish fluently. After talking to him for a few minutes I found out that a man, and what the guy thought was the man's wife, had offered him a ride. He thought they were being nice since it was Christmas Eve, so he thanked them and got into the car. After a few minutes, they had robbed him, beaten him up, and threw him out onto the corner. Our house was the only one with the lights on and he decided he'd see if we'd help him and call 911. When I got all the story from him, there was a knock on the door. Uncle Lee answered it and showed the EMT's into the living room. I conved the story to them, and they took him to the hospital. Arya had been cleaning the wounds while we were talking to him, before the Ambulance had gotten to the house. When they left, I took a deep breath. "OK, now I'm going to get cleaned up. I'll be back in a little bit. Don't open anything without me!"
