The next day mom took me to the school to take a test to see what grade I'd be put in. My family owned the school and ran it. My Uncle Lee and Aunt Alyssa were the principals. The rest of the family was the school bored. I got placed in the eleventh grade. Yes! That means that I will be in Chris's grade. I hadn't told him I still had feelings for him. I mean come on we were toddlers when we were "in love." Given that that love is the most innocent love. God I hope that we have classes together. There was still a month before school started but that didn't stop me from hopping.

I was warming up to my family, but I was still staying with Avril. It had been two days since I had talked to the police. I felt safe, thinking that they wouldn't come back. I was wrong. Three days after talking to them, they showed up at Avril's house again. "Hope Halliwell, we need you to come with us." It was one of the cops from New York. His badge said his name was David. The other's name was Paul. I went with them and got questioned on what I did know. After telling them three times, they were finally happy that I was telling the truth. "Do you know who killed him though?" Paul asked me. "Ugh! I told you I don't." I won't give my uncle up. Just then the door opened. And my face went white.

"I did it. I killed Parker Red." It was my Uncle Tommy. They went over to him. "Are you willing to write that down?" David asked him. "Only if you let my niece go. She had nothing to do with this. She didn't even know I did it." They looked at me. "You can leave Hope." I went to the mansion. "WHY DID YOU LET HIM DO THAT?! Why did you let him confess?" "He didn't want them to keep harassing you. So he confessed." My mother looked at me. "They will have a hearing in a few days."

The hearing ended up being on my birthday. We went to support Tommy. Little did I know I was going to get called up to the stand. "Hope Halliwell, please come to the stand and be sworn in." I went up and got myself sworn in. Then I sat down. "Explain to us everything that Parker put you through." Tommy's lawyer said to me. I told everyone in the court room. "So would you say what you're uncle did was to defend you?" "Yes sir, I would say that." About a week later we went to trial. After three long days they found Tommy not guilty for Self defence.

"Hope, we're sorry we didn't celebrate your birthday." My mother said to me. "Mom I said I didn't want a party. I'm fine with it." We walked into the mansion. And were greeted by people yelling "Happy Birthday!" "Damn you guys I said I didn't want a party!" "Oh come on it's just family and friends." Avril said to me. "You'll live." Samantha said after that. I started to protest when I saw Chris. My heart sank. "Who is that with Chris?" Sam looked over at him. "Oh that?" She asked pointing to the girl. "That's his girlfriend, Arianna." Great. So maybe we arn't still ment for eachother. "How long have they been going out?" I asked her. "Um, about two years." Damn.
Alyson came over to me. "Auntie Hope, up." She said with her arms up so she could be picked up. I picked her up. She looked close to tears. "Honey what's wrong?" "The other's are being mean to me. They said that girls can't play cops and robbers. And then they pushed me down." "Which ones pushed you down?" "Jake did." She said pointing to one of the older boys. I walked over to them. "Jake, did you push Aly down?" He didn't say anything. Just stood there ignoring me. "Damn it Jake answer me. Did you push her down?" "Yes, but she can't play cops and robbers, she's a girl and she too little." He didn't look to happy. He was about nine and a half years old. "You're old enough to know that you don't hit a girl in ANY way. And if she wants to play she's allowed to. Am I understood?" I was still holding Aly. "Yes Hope." "Good." I put Aly down. "Go play honey."

"You're good with them." Someone said behind me. It was Chris and his girlfriend. Arianna was the one that spoke. "Thanks I guess. I've always been good with kids." "Hope where have you been? You've been like hiding the whole party." Chris asked this. "I don't like parties. I haven't had one in thirteen years. My third birthday was the last one I had. Now you guys are throwing me a sweet sixteen when I asked you not to. So I've been upstairs most of the time. I only just came down." "Why don't you like parties? They are fun and awesome and it's a chance to talk to friends. "Hrm, maybe it's because I don't trust people. I don't like talking that much, and even though I know everyone here. I don't really know them. No one is who they were thirteen years ago." And I turned around and left them standing there.

I walked over to my mom. "I'm going for a walk. I can't stand this... I need some air." "Are you sure? I mean this is your party." "Mom I told you I don't like parties. And no one that's here is the same as what they used to be... I just need to get out." She looked at me and could tell I wasn't enjoying the party. "Ok go ahead and go." I walked to the park. Trying to clear my head. How can he do that. He knows I still love him, and yet he brings HER to my birthday party. Stupid bitch. I was sitting on the bench for about fifteen minutes. No one else was at the park. That's when I heard it. What the hell is that? And where is it coming from? I followed the noise to a tunnel in the park. That can't be what I think it is. No one is here. It's impossible. I looked inside the tunnel. And sure enough found what I though I heard. Oh my god who would do this?

I crawled into the tunnel and picked up the new born baby. There was a note on her blanket. Whoever finds her. Please know that I couldn't take care of her. I don't know if anyone will find her or if it will be too late. But I can't take it. Her birthday is July 13th she was born at 2:30 in the morning. I had her at home so the hospitals don't know about her. Just please take care of her. It wasn't signed. Who would do this. I was holding the crying baby. She's only a few hours old. How long has she been here? She has to be hungry or wet. I had a credit card on me. Mom had given it to me, it tied into the family account. So I walked two blocks down to the store and got diapers. The baby was about six pounds. I paid for the diapers and then walked to Avril's house. No one was home, they were still at the mansion. I went upstairs to Aiden's room and changed the baby's diaper. Then I went downstairs and got a bottle for her. A baby this size and age needs two ounces. I got into Aiden's formula. As soon as I got it made I stuck it in her mouth. When she was done with the milk she fell asleep.

Wow what's mom and dad gonna think. I walked to the front door and stopped. I'm not gonna give her up. I want to take care of her. I know I can. I took a deep breath then walked into the house. My mom saw me in seconds. She was talking to Avril. They both turned to me. "Please say that's a doll." My mother said to me. "I can't do that." "Where the hell did you find a baby?" She asked me. I showed her the note. "I found her in the park. No one else was around and I found that note with her. She was wet and hungry, so I bought diapers at the store and then went to Av's and fed her." "Hope you can't keep a baby." Avril said to me. "Why not? I can take care of her. And I don't want to give her up." "We'll call Social Services. They'll come and get her." My heart broke. "You can't do that. You don't know what will happen to her. Mom please."

"What's up with you?" My mom asked me. "Mom you don't understand. Please don't let them take her too." I was pleading with her. "What do yo mean 'too'?" I was near tears. "God you guys don't know me. You don't know the hell I've been through. Please mom just don't let them take her." Avril was staring at me. "Oh my god. Hope, why didn't you tell me. When was it?" "When was WHAT." My mother asked, looking back and forth between us. "Mom she had a baby." "WHAT?!?! Who's was it? Was it Parkers?" "No mom. The baby wasn't his. One of his friends raped me. It was his friends. Grandma obviously had made him have surgery so she couldn't get pregnant again. But his friend. Well his friend could have kids and, once I had him they got rid of him. Not by killing him. But by handing him to Social Workers. I don't know what happend to him." "How long ago was that?" Avril was the one to ask. "That was about six months ago. His birthday was January the tenth."

After the party, mom called the operater. "I need the number for New York's Social Services." She said into the phone. After a few minutes she spoke again. "I'm calling on account of a baby boy who was brought in about six months ago. An old man would have brought him in. Yes I'll hold." About two minutes later she spoke again. "You found the file. Has the boy been adopted yet?" Pause. "He hasn't?" She sighed. "No the reason I ask is because his mother had no oppinion in giving him up. Can you tell me where he is?" Another pause. "Ok, we'll be there by tomorrow. Thank you! Bye." She hung up the phone and turned to me. "Good news. For some reason he hasn't been adopted yet. We're getting a plane ticket for tonight. Go pack you bags." "Mom what about the baby girl?" I was still holding her. She was fast asleep in my arms. "Our family has a foster care licence. We'll talk to Social Services about fostering her, and then we'll see if we can adopt her." I smiled. "Good cause I think I love this little one."
