Avril’s POV

I helped mom with the dishes and Deryck cleaned the table.

“Mom, we have something to tell you.” I say to her on the living room after the kitchen was cleaned.

“Oh, I know. You are pregnant.” She says and I and Deryck look at each other completely in chock.

“Ye- How do you know?” I gasp. How does she know? I’m not even showing yet! “Did Michelle tell you?” I ask and she laughs.

“Honey, you might don’t know that, but I really know you better than anyone.” She says and gives a “That’s true” gaze to Deryck, who just nods. “I knew it at the exactly first time I see you when you arrived. You boobs looks bigger and the bright in your and Deryck’s eyes says everything.” I smile at him. “And well, you must have had a really big reason to come here. So, it was really easy to find out. And I’m so glad I was right!”

So, that’s it. My mom knew I was pregnant just to look at me. Me, the one who is carrying a child, take a lot of days to even start to think about that possibility. Sometimes she scares me. Will I be like that with my child?

“OH MY GOD! I’m going to be a grandma! God… me… a grandma…” She says with tears in her eyes. I give her a hug.

“I’m so happy too… I was a little afraid at the beginning, but now I’m really thrilled.” I say.

“Did you tell you Dad?” She asks.

“No, we are going to tell his this afternoon.” I say. Dad lives in a city a few minutes away from here.

“He will be so surprised. You know, even if you’re already married, he still thinks you are a baby.” She says and I nod. My dad is so funny and cute. He almost fainted when I told him I was engaged. I’ll have to go really slow when I tell him about the baby, because I really think the idea that I have sex still doesn’t pass throw his mind, even after I married.

“And are you taking care of yourself? You can’t eat all that junk food you are use to eat while you’re on tour…” She starts to say. She always complains about my eating habits when I’m on tour. “And oh my God… how are you going to do the prenatal? Are you still going to do the tour?”

“Relax, mom. I’m on a health diet.” I say. “And yes, of course I will. I’m pregnant, not sick. The doctor said everything is fine, and I can do the ultrasounds and doctor’s visits during the tour. I’m going to the biggest cities in the world. That’s not going to be a problem. And the tour will end when I’ll be in my seventh month. I’ll have two months to take a rest before the baby is born.”

“Please, Avie, take care. It’s not going to be so easy in the end.” She says.

“I’ll be okay, mom. If I don’t feel okay, I cancel the last concerts, even if it’s going to be really sad. I don’t want to disappoint my fans…” I say. It would be really sad if I had to cancel the last shows, because they are in Japan and I really love my Japanese fans, they are always so nice when I go there.

“That’s good. But I know you are a big stubborn…” She says and then looks at Deryck. “Please, don’t let her do anything dangerous.”

“I won’t, I promise. Even if I have to lock her up at home.” He winks to my mom.

Oh great, they are together in that. 2 x 1. Not fair. Oh, wait. 2 x 2, but it’s still not fair!
