Deryck’s POV I wake up before Avril and there’s no way I’m going to wake her up. I look at her sleeping and she looks just like an angel. Thank God she didn’t have any more nightmares last night. I get up, go to the bathroom and take a shower. When I leave, I see that she is in the same position she was. I smile and walk towards the door slowly to not make any noise that might take her away from her dreams. Last night wasn’t easy. I walk downstairs and go to the kitchen to make breakfast for us. Avril loves when I make breakfast. I’m starting to pick up some pans when I hear my cell phone ringing. Who is calling me this early? “Hello?” I say without even watching the caller ID. “Deryck! Thank God you answer! I have great news for you!” A happy Terry says in the other side of the line. “Oh, Hi, Terry! Great news? That’s nice… what’s that?” I ask curious. It must be really important to Terry call me this time. “Oh, you won’t believe! There is going to be that biggest Rock Festival here in LA at the beggining of July, and guess what? They want Sum 41 to play there!” He almost yells. That’s really great. We’ve been hearing about this big Festival since last December, and it is finally confirmed, and they want us to play there, it’s awesome! I’m so happy with the news and then I remember the date it’s going to happen. If it’s really in July, I won’t be able to go to Europe with Avril. We’ll need to practice everyday and organize the stuff to the concert if we are going to play there. “That’s so nice, Terry! When did you say it’s going to happen?” I ask just to confirm. “At the beginning of July, probably first or second. I’ve already talked to Steve and Cone and both of them are really excited, I just need your answer now, but I’m sure you won’t loose this opportunity…” He continues to say. I know this is very important to our career, I mean; all of the best rock bands are going to play there. I would be really stupid if I didn’t agree to play, but then, I have Avril, and I promise her I would go to Europe, I know she needs me now. “Yeah… I know. This is really great, I’m so glad they invited us to play there… but there is one thing… Avril is going to Europe next week and I was going with her.” I say. “Oh, Deryck, I’m sure she will understand. Why wouldn’t she?” He says with a laugh. But the thing is, I don’t want to leave her now. Terry doesn’t know about her pregnancy yet. We decided to wait a little before telling him and the rest of the guys. “Can I give you an answer later? I want to talk with her first…”I say. “Ok, if that is what you want. But, please, call me today, I need to give them an answer tomorrow morning. You can’t loose this opportunity, remember it.” He says. “Ok, bye Terry.” I say and hang up the phone. What am I going to do? ________________________________ Comment please!
