Avril’s POV


“Thank you, thank you so much. We will never forget you, you were our angels… I don’t know what would happened if you didn’t help us.” I say to Sophie and Mary at the hall. The snow finally stopped and now we are able to leave and go to the hospital. The baby is already out of me, but we are going there just to confirm everything is perfect.

“That was nothing, we are glad everything went fine.” Sophie says smiling.

“Mom, I’m home! Finally I could leave Jen’s house.” I hear a scream coming from the door. I turn around and see a blonde girl about 12 years olds. That’s probably Sarah, Sophie’s daughter.

Suddenly she realizes our presence in the room. I’m with Anne in my arms. Deryck is at the living room talking to Dr. Jones on the phone.

Sarah’s eyes open widely and her mouth drops.

“OH MY GOD!” She exclaims. “Who are you? You look JUST like Avril!” She stares at me and comes closer.

“How do you know her?” Sophie asks her daughter raising her eyebrows. Yeah. I think she doesn’t know who we are.

“So are you really Avril?” Sarah asks amazed and I open a smile and nod.

“Yeah… but how do you know her? I’ve never seen her around here before… do you guys live here?” Sophie asks me.

“No, actually we live in Los Angeles, we moved here for her birth.” I explain to her.

“How come you don’t know who she is, mom?” Sarah says rolling her eyes. “She is AVRIL LAVIGNE! The singer! The world wide known singer!” She looks amazed at me and both Sophie and Mary stare at me and still don’t know who I am. “Hey Hey You You I don’t like your girlfriend…” Sarah starts to sing and it looks like now they realize who I am.

“Oh! I can’t believe I didn’t recognize you… Sarah has posters of you all over her walls.” Sophie says and Sarah blushes.

“That’s not a problem.” I say smiling. “I kinda look a bit different from those pictures… no make up, tired face, big belly…” I start to say with a grin on my face. “And it’s really, really nice to be treated like someone normal sometimes.”

“I’m a huge fan of you.” Sarah says shyly. “I don’t want to sound impolite, but what are you doing in my house? I mean, it’s really weird having Avril Lavigne here, it only happened like, in my dreams…” She blushes again when she says that. “And wow… now you have a baby. I really don’t understand what’s happening.” She says confused.

“I was about to have a baby last night and I couldn’t arrive at the hospital because of the snow. Fortunately we find your house and those amazing people that are your mother and your grandmother.” I look at them and smile. “Your grandma helps to bring my baby to the world and that’s basically why I am here.” I explain and I see the surprise in Sarah’s face.

“So… let me see if I understood… you, Avril Lavigne, had a baby in my house, and my grandma was the one who helped to bring her to the world?” She asks me and I nod. She looks at Sophie. “Please, mom, pinch me. I’m sure this is a dream, it can’t be real.” She says and I laugh. She is so cute.

“That’s not a dream, Sarah. And stop saying those things… you are making her feel uncomfortable.” Sophie says.

“That’s not a problem.” I say nicely to her.

“Oh God… no one is going to believe me when I talk about this tomorrow at school…” She says lowly.

“Sarah!” Sophie gives her a look and she stops.

“Sorry…” Sarah says and them walks closer to me. “Can I see her?” She asks pointing at the baby.

“Sure.” I answer smiling. She is almost as tall as me, so she just comes closer and looks at Anne.

“Oh… she is so beautiful.” She says smiling and then looks at me and at Anne again. “She looks just like you.” She says.

“Thank you.” I say smiling.

“Sorry… but, Av, we need to go. Dr. Jones is waiting for us.” Deryck says walking into the hall. Sarah is about to say something again when she looks at him, but Sophie gives her a gaze and she closes her mouth.

“Thanks again, really.” I say to Mary and Sophie, who smiles.

We give them all hugs and when we are about to leave Sarah calls me.

“Wait!” I turn around and look at her. “Sorry… but can you give me an autograph?” She asks with a pouting face. I smile.

“Sarah! She is about to leave and she just give birth to a baby.” Sophie says to her. “I’m so sorry, Avril… usually she is more polite than that.”

“Of course I can give you an autograph, sweetie.” I say and she opens a huge smile. A minute won’t make difference, and it’s nothing compared with what this family did for us.

“A minute won’t make difference.” I say to Sophie.

“Thank you!” Sarah grins and runs to her room and come back with one of my cds in her hand. I give Anne to Deryck and sign it for her. I can see how happy Sarah is and that makes me happy. It still surprises me how there are people out there who likes me.

We say goodbye again and get in the car.

“So, where are we going after the hospital?” Deryck asks me. I’m sitting in the back seat holding Anne, who is sleeping.

“It would be a really big surprise to mom and Michelle if we arrived at their house with Anne.” I say smiling thinking about their face when they see us.

“But aren’t you tired? You just gave birth two days ago…” He starts to say.

“I’m fine.” I say firmly. I really want to see them.

“Ok… so it’s hospital then Lavigne’s house.” He announces and winks at me.
