‘’Well, it’s a pretty long time ago when we made that promise isn’t it?’’
‘’Yeah, but I still remember, I just wondered if you still feel the same.’’
I sighed and looked at her more then perfect eyes. Of course I still felt the same, maybe even more then back then. I played with her tiny fingers and sighed again, trying to get more time so I could think about what I should say. But I knew I didn’t have to think long about it. I knew that I could just look at her and the words would just come out.
‘’You know, it’s a pretty long time ago.’’ Carefully I pushed her away from me and laid her down on the empty spot next to me. She looked tired but satisfied. I stepped out of the bed and went down on my knees. The big smile on her face showed me that she knew what would happen. She pulled herself up and sat straight up on the bed. Waiting for me to continue, because after all she still was a girl who liked these kind of things.
‘’I know this is not the right place. I know we don’t wear pretty clothing, eating in a luxury restaurant. We don’t have our friends around us, having Lucca with us. But maybe there isn’t a more perfect moment then this.’’
We both knew that there was no better moment then this. I stopped and looked down, Avril her eyes were fighting against some tears, if I would look at her right now we both would cry and all of it would be ruined.
‘’I think I have asked you this question two times before, but we both know that this time it’s different. This time we wouldn’t give up.’’
Again I stopped, but this time I was able to face her. See her beautiful smile, her amazing eyes. I smiled at her, this moment was perfect, even though it wasn’t what most girls dream off. Her hair was all funky and messy, while her shirt was worn out. But maybe all that made it perfect and really ‘us’.
‘’Since the day I saw you with a broken car, standing some were on a parking lot I knew that it wouldn’t be easy to forget you. Maybe that’s because I never wanted to forget you. Five years long I had the time to think about you, to think about us. But every night of thinking ended the same way. I love you and there is nothing I want more in the world then spent the rest of my life with you. We have done wrong many times, we have hurt each other, many times. But it didn’t changed the fact that we love each other.’’
Again I needed a little break. I only noticed now that tears stream down my face. Avril’s face was a total mess, tears stream down while she kept an a smile. I knew that face, it meant that she was honestly happy. After looking at her eyes I knew that it was worth it. I took all my power and continued, it wouldn’t matter to her if I cried or not.
‘’Avril, you’re my live you’re my heart. Even when you’re miles way you’re love is all that I need to carry with me so I can hold on. Avril Ramona Lavigne, would you become my wife?’’
This time she sighed. With tears in her eyes and a huge bright smile on her face she looked at me.
‘’Yes.’’
