One week later
’’NOOOOO Mommy!!!!’’ Lucca ran crying after Avril, who was about to leave. We both looked at each other, with the face like ‘not this again’. Avril walked through the front door and closed it before Lucca could reach it. ‘’It’s okay, daddy is here.’’ I said. But he wouldn’t listen. ‘’Mommy come back!!’’ But he saw the car drive away and ran through the house to the big chair in the living room. Just like past week he buried his face on it and cried. ‘’MOMMY!!!!!’’ I walked over to him and put my hand on his back. ‘’It’s okay, daddy is here.’’ ‘’I don’t want a daddy!!’’ He yelled. Like he wanted to show he was mad at me he just kept his face down on the chair. We all ready had dinner and Avril went to the town to get some things. Every time she left the house, this was what happened. A child screaming to get his mother back. And I was unable to calm him down. He didn’t want to do anything with me. He had only give me one hug, which was in the hotel in New York. But now that we were home he avoided every contact with me. Of course I knew it would be a big change for him. But it was so hard to see. ‘’Come Lucca, I’ll bring you to bed.’’ I took his arm and pulled him from the chair and almost dragged him upstairs. When I tried to pull off his shirt he folded his arms over each other, sat on the bed and started out the window. Letting me know that he didn’t want me to help him. ‘’Lucca take off your clothes and pull on your pyjama’s.’’ ‘’I want mommy!!!’’ ‘’Mommy has to buy something.’’ ‘’Go away!!!’’ ‘’I’ll only leave when you’re in bed and wearing your pyjama’s.’’ But he didn’t react. Kept starring out the window. ‘’I don’t want a daddy!!!’’ He kicked off the clothes that were laying on the bed. This would be hard, fighting against a four year old, who wants nothing to do with you. I sighed and sat down on the ground. Letting him know, that I wasn’t going any were.
