While Lucca was re-building his room I thought it was time for me to get out bed and do something. Since it was 10 and we still didn’t had breakfast. For me it didn’t mind but Lucca wasn’t used to it. I pulled of my shirt and took the jeans and shirt from the chair next to the bed. Today I didn’t felt like taking a shower. Deryck wasn’t here anyway so it didn’t matter if I would smell bad. Slow I made my way upstairs to check Lucca’s room. I wasn’t even upstairs when I heard the loud noises from his room. I took a fast look in his room and saw stuff was every were. Normally I would tell him to clean it. But this time it was all right.

‘’Mommy look! The sheets are the sail.’’

‘’That’s great honey.’’ I smiled while looking at the sheets that seemed to be every were. Gosh that kid really had a great fantasy.

‘’Mommy is going to make breakfast. Are you coming downstairs in a minute?’’

‘’Yes.’’ I turned and walked back downstairs. While I was putting everything on the kitchen table I really felt like a house mom. The man at work and the woman with child back at home. But that would be over soon. Next week would be the first LA school day for Lucca. We first wanted to keep him at home so he would get used to everything. Last week he came to us and asked us if he didn’t had to go to school. So we talked about it and he agreed that he should go to school again. His school wasn’t far away from here and he would only go to school for half days since he was only four.

‘’MOMMY DOORBELL!!!!’’ I head Lucca yelling from the stairs, since he got told not to open the door. I put down all that I was doing and rushed to the front door.

‘’Lucca we have breakfast in any second now, so please come down stairs now.’’

I opened the door and saw a man standing in front of me. He couldn’t be much older then 40 and had black hair and wearing a long jacked. Which I thought was strange, since it was pretty warm outside.

‘’Hello, how can I help you?’’ I asked while I remembered that I hadn’t showered nor done my hair.

‘’I am looking for Deryck Jason Whibley, I am an old friend of his.’’

‘’Oh, well he got send to Iraq.’’ He looked understanding and feeling sorry for me.

‘’When do you think he comes back?’’

‘’Over four months.’’ He stroke his face and looked inside the house. Probably looking at Lucca who just ran down stairs to the kitchen.

‘’I only came by to show my face since I didn’t saw him for a while.’’

‘’I understand, maybe you can try it again in a few months.’’ I said nicely while I heard things falling from the table in the kitchen.

‘’When you speak to again him, could you tell him I had dropped by?’’

‘’Yes, sure. What’s your name?’’

‘’Mickey.’’
