Complicated Life.

“Why are you doing this!” Avril screamed.
“Oh come on, you should be used to this by now…”






It was such a long time ago, though it felt like yesterday. Watching the annual lacrosse game, and he caught her eye, it was something you would see in a movie. He was the star player, really nice, and everyone loved him…so why not? Then it happened, Jason asked her out, picture perfect, and she thought her life had finally been completed. You know how it is, teen girls “one and only love” asks her out, she falls at his feet for anything, that type of thing. Little did young Avril know, that Jason was not exactly what he seemed to be.

It all started the first party after they dated. Holly held a party at her house every year after lacrosse provincials, and this year the home team had won. It was the party of the year, anybody who was somebody was there.
“I love you Avril” Jason told her with a sincere look on his face, “ I just want you to know that ok? And I would never to anything to hurt you.”
“I know Jason.” She let out a sigh, “I know.”
After a few drinks, Jason thought it was time to take Av home, so he scooped her up, and carried her to his car as if they were getting married.
“Jason I can’t go home like this! My mom will kill me!”
“Here drink this is will make everything better.”
Avril slowly drank the harsh substance, and started to feel sleepy, and slowly drifted off.



“Jason! Where are we? I just had the weirdest dream ever, you like…well you know?”
“Shut up, your so annoying.”
“What? Jason are you ok?”
“Shut up! Don’t you speak freaking English?”
“Holy cow, what did I do?”
“If you don’t stop Avril I’m going to…”
“No wait Jason…Stop!”


“I don’t get it Ashley? Why would he do that to me? He told me he would never hurt me!”
“I don’t know Av but you got to tell someone, get help, something. If you don’t its only going to get worse”
“I don’t know, he would not do that, I must have done something pretty bad, he’s so nice to everyone, everyone loves him, I think I’m just in a bad dream, it will all end soon.”
“Whatever you say Av…Whatever you say…”
The incidents kept repeating themselves and finally Avril got the nerve to talk to him.
“Jason, you have to stop doing this, people at work are starting to notice, even the expensive stuff isn’t covering this stuff up.”
“You must be dreaming! I would never do that?”
“What is your problem! That’s it I’m leaving, we are done!”
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
“Watch me.”

Avril ran out to her car, and realized she couldn’t find her keys.
“Jesus Christ!”
“I told you shouldn’t have done that.”

Jason whipped her out of the car so fast, and pushed her back into the house. No more than 10 minuets later the cops showed up at the house.

“Tell them you fell or something!” Jason screamed.

:knocks on the door:

“Hello officer,” Avril greeted them with a smile.
“Hello miss, sorry to bother you, but we were called to this address, seems someone thinks there was some public form of abuse was happening? And it appears they were right?” He reached out and touched her arm.
“ Oh no sir! This is what skating does! Ha-ha first time, you know how that goes!”
“Oh, ok miss! But if we hear of it again, I’m going to have to take you in for questions.”
“ Yep no problem! Have a nice day!.”

Avril shut the door, and turned around and the smile quickly disinigrated into a pool of tears.
“Jason…why is it that you act like somebody else around everyone else, yet your so…I don’t know, your just not you.”
“I’m just going to pretend you didn’t ask that question.”



*Phone Ringing*
“Speak to me”
“Hey Jason…Its Avril, we need to talk.”
“Mabey I don’t want to talk to you?”
“Shut up and listen ok! I have…Im done with this, im done with you, and im done with this life, I hope I never see you again!”
“What are you talking about Av, baby we can work this out.”
“No Jason…I…I hate you.”
