I suddenly awaken to the cold summer morning, feeling pain rushing through my right leg I quickly rise from the mattress and start kicking my leg to release myself from the cramp. I drew back the curtains to reveal a still, calm, morning. I could hear the sound of the birds twittering and the high-way in the distance.
The sun has not yet risen and the sky is completely clear, there are no clouds in site across the horizon. The vacant sky, light blue - glowing yellow across the distance, slowly unveils the morning sun. For 2 long hours I stared out the window watching the sun rise, taking brief intervals to wonder around my bedroom to try and get rid of the cramp.

When the time was heading towards half six, I still hadn’t tried to get back to sleep at all. Just as my head hit the pillow my phone rang – “Uh huh, Life’s like this” – I’m a pretty big fan of Avril Lavigne, so I have her as my ring tone! I picked up my phone and glared at the screen, after a few seconds I realised it was Faye calling, my girlfriend of almost 2 years. Faye has the most amazing personality and a beautiful smile. Faye is about 5”2 with long brunette hair, and wears glasses. When I answered the call I had to hold the phone like a metre away from my ear, “WHAT THE FUCK CHRIS?! You said you wouldn’t do it! How could you?! I fucking hate you! AGH!!!”.
I didn’t have a clue what she was screaming at me about, especially at 6 in the morning, she must have been pissed, but she hang up before I could say anything. I saw no point in calling back straight away, seeing as she was so mad.

I lied in my bed staring at the ceiling trying to work out what was up with Faye. My mind was blank. I didn’t know what was wrong. She’d been fine the day before. We’ve always been good, yeah sure we have fights every now and then, but she’s never been this mad. I didn’t know what to do. Should I call her? Text her? Go see her?

After a while of thinking, I decided to go round to her place. I knocked on the door. After a while she answered and instantly hit me in the face as hard as she could. “WHO IS SHE? One of my friends? One of my sisters? TWO OF MY SISTERS? …Oh god it’s a guy isn’t it.” I still didn’t know what or who she was talking about, so I calmly said, “What’s the matter, Faye? What’s happened?” Seeing that I was clueless as to what she was mad about, she also seemed to calm down, “Chris, Jen told me what you did the other night… when you went out with the guys.” Nothing had happened that night, except going out with the guys… so I was still totally confused. “Nothing happened? What? Is this some sort of joke?” About 10 seconds later Jen came running up behind Faye with a group of girls following, “GOT YA!” Faye and I were both shocked and stunned that Jen, Faye’s best friend, would do something like this. I quickly grabbed Faye and held her tight and reassured her that everything was okay between us. She was still very upset.

Directing my speech at Jen, and some of the preppy looking girls, in an angry tone of voice, “You always have to make things so complicated don’t you; can’t you just let it go? I mean what’s your problem, Jen? You call yourself a friend? After this? I don’t think so... Just get out.” Jen looked shocked and scared, as she stormed out of the house, followed by the group of girls, she muttered under her breath “At least I’m not as ugly as her.” I quickly responded to her childish comment, “Well, at least you can admit you’re ugly.” I grinned at this and felt proud of my come back. Jen just rolled her eyes and quickly turned around and walked away.

I always knew those girls were no good, you could tell this just by looking at them with Faye. They are so much more preppy and Faye is a lot more punk/skater, with her converse’s and van’s. I’m glad she has finally seen them for who they really are, the lying, two faced, and backstabbing bitches.

Faye and I spent the whole morning together, just watching television. Later on we went down to a park where everyone was hanging out; unfortunately we couldn’t stay for long as we had a plane to catch. We were both going over to England for a Vacation for a week – a much needed one after this morning! – But little did Faye know that I hadn’t planned on coming back. I still hadn’t got round to telling her that I was planning to move to England, and after this morning, it made it even harder. Hopefully she’ll be happy to come with me. But if she doesn’t then that’ll be us over. Which I won’t be able to handle! I love her too much.

Now that the plane had taken off and we were cruising, I decided to break the news to Faye that I wasn’t going back to Calgary. I knew that she wouldn’t be happy so I started by telling her how much I love her. “Faye…” “Yeah, Chris?” She innocently replied. “I love you Faye” before I could carry on to telling her, she spoke over me. “I love you too Chris!” she then got closer to me and held my hand. I smiled. I then went on to tell her about me moving, “I have something I have to tell you, I’m not going back to Calgary for a while. I’m moving to England.” She didn’t speak for a few minutes, “Oh. Cool. Erm…” Her grip on my hand loosened. I carried on, “I want you to come with me, and live with me.” Her face instantly lit up, “Oh my god yeah! Totally! Sure! When?!” I was getting excited… “As soon as possible! I’m moving all my stuff in a few days.” Faye was also getting excited… “Oh this is gunna be so cool!! I can’t wait! Let’s do it now!!” “Yeah yeah all in good time! Haha.” I replied laughing.

We were both tired, I’d been awake from 3 in the morning, and Faye didn’t get any sleep all night. We both fell asleep on the plane; Faye was in my arms, with her head on my chest.

After a whole day of packing for the vacation tomorrow, I decided to give Jen and the girls a call to see what they were doing tonight. Chris was busy, so I thought I might as well amuse myself somehow. Everyone ended up coming round my place and watching a couple of movies, when it got to around 3 AM things began to get nasty. Jen started bitching about her friends, and telling everyone what some guys had been up to. She even had something to say about Chris, “Did Chris tell you who he got with the other night?” One of the girls said, “Faye?” Which would make sense, seeing as he does pretty much every night. “No of course not, he was out with the guys and he got with some girl at the club.” I found this odd, because I knew Chris was out with the guys, but I didn’t realise they were going to a club, but still, I got mad and decided to call Chris. “WHAT THE FUCK CHRIS?! You said you wouldn’t do it! How could you?! I fucking hate you! AGH!!!” of course it makes sense for a girlfriend to mad a guy for doing this. But I was more than mad. I was furious; Chris knows that all my previous boyfriends have cheated on me. And he knows how much our relationship means to me. After a while he came round, I decided to let him tell me what he’d done. “WHO IS SHE? One of my friends? One of my sisters? TWO OF MY SISTERS? …Oh god it’s a guy isn’t it.” At first I thought he was playing dumb, but after a while he did seem genuinely confused, “Nothing happened? What? Is this some sort of joke?” Just after Chris had said that Jen came running up behind me, followed by the rest of the girls, “GOT YA!”

I couldn’t believe Jen had done this as a joke, and found it funny. I burst into tears. Chris pulled me close and held me tight. He kissed my forehead and told me everything was okay. He got rid of all the girls and we went inside. We ended up watching television all morning, after a while Avril Lavigne came on MTV. As if he couldn’t control himself, Chris screamed, “AAVVRILLLL!” …”sometimes I wonder if you love her more than you love me.” Chris looked shocked at this, but it’s true. He does seem to love her more than me sometimes. “You know I love you babe, nothing can stop that. I’ll always love you, forever. I love you so much Faye.” Then he kissed me, it felt like the most passionate kiss he’d ever given me. I pulled him close, as we started to make out. After a couple of minutes I ripped his shirt off, pushed him into the back of the couch, “I fucking love you Chris”, we ripped the clothes off each other and made love like we never had before.
This was something special.

Before our flight to England we met up with some of the guys down at the park, we didn’t stay long, because one of my ex-boyfriends was there. I didn’t tell Chris this though; I used the excuse of having the catch the flight. When we were on the plane Chris told me that he’s moving to England and that he wants me to go with him. I told him I would, but I’m not sure because all of my friends are family are here in Canada. Chris and I fell asleep on the plane, and we were rudely woken up by one of the air-hostesses – “Hey put your seat belts on we’re about to land!” – As we were landing I told Chris how I really felt about Jen. “Chris, I have to be honest with you, I never really knew Jen as well as I thought I did, and I trusted her too well. I shouldn’t have believed her.” Chris grinned, “Babe its fine just forget about her.”

When we arrived in London the weather was strangely hot, it’s usually freezing in England! That’s climate change for ya. The only reason we came is because Chris has family here. We got a taxi to the hotel we were staying at; we only stayed a couple of nights in London as Chris’ family actually lived down on the south coast of England.

A few days later we got a train down to Brighton where we stayed with his Mom and Dad, this city was pretty awesome; it’s apparently the “gay capital” of England! There were tons of shops, so Chris and I spent the rest of the day shopping before I met his family in the evening.

When it came to the time of meeting his family for the first time I was getting a little nervous, what if they didn’t like me?! Chris assured me that everything would be fine. “Faye stop worrying it’s going to me fine! I promise.” We arrived at his parent’s house as they opened the door grinning, they’d been watching out for us. “Hello Christopher! It’s been a long time since we’ve seen out little Christopher!” His mom said, hugging him. His dad then interrupted, “How are you doing son? You gunna introduce me?” He was looking suggestively at me when he said that, I felt uncomfortable, Chris was standing about 2 feet away. He then realised and came over and stood behind me and held me. I held his arms and smiled. “This is Faye. We’ve been together for 2 years now” His mom just smiled and said, “Aww you two are so cute” and his dad said “Well done son” I’m not sure why he said that, but I’m sure it’s no big deal. Eventually we went inside and Chris held my hand. The evening went okay, better than I thought, the rest of his family seemed to like me as well.

Tonight we stayed up all night talking; we hadn’t done this in a while. We always used to, but then kind of just stopped. Chris thought it would be a good idea to go for a walk along the beach; we watched the sun rise over the hills in complete silence. It wasn’t an awkward silence. It was a good sort of silence. Calm. And somehow loving? It felt good, in Chris’ arms, listening to the waves crashing in the distance, watching the sun rise. I guess Chris felt the same. Especially after what happened next, a complete surprise to me!

Chris pulled something from his pocket; I thought it was his phone or something so I didn’t look round. He then said this, “Faye…” “Yeah?” “…We’ve known each other a long time, right?” “So long I can’t even remember” I turned to look at him. Noticing the small box he was tightly gripping in his right hand. “Faye, I love you, will you marry me?” I was shocked! I was sat there with my jaw dropped for about 20 seconds, he then said, laughing, “Haha, Faye, you okay?” I then hugged him and said “Yes! Yes Chris! I will! I love you so much Chris!” I was so happy that I was crying. Chris picked me up and span me around, squeezing my bum tightly whilst doing so. I’m so happy, Chris is so happy.
This is the happiest day of my life!

I so glad people like it! If it gets more good comments I might consider following it up in a new thread, I don't have anything written yet, but there's a lot of things in there which I could use for plot lines later on Not sure if i'd keep the same style of writting though, although I didn't actually plan how i was gunna do it for this. I just kinda thought it would be good, then I realised at the end it was kind of like a diary
