That’s where Damien is, he was excited to take cup cakes to school, and he wanted to see Katie.” Avril gave me a questioning look. “Katie, little Katie that he’s known for years?” I nodded, and then frowned. “I found out this morning that they were being abused, Katie and Jamie I mean. Their parents were arrested this morning. Jamie and Katie will be living here until their older sister Amy gets back. Oh, and Damien found his true love. It’s Katie.”

Avril and Deryck stayed until Damien walked in the door. Cone had walked down to pick him and Katie up. “Mommy, Daddy how long have you two been home?” He asked as soon as he walked in the door. “Oh, we’ve been home for about two hours. You get to come home tonight.”

What about Katie and Jamie? Where are they gonna go?” I smiled at him. “They are staying here with me for the next week. Then their big sister is going to take them.” I thought he looked near tears. “No, no she can’t take them. Auntie Hope, you said that I should hold on to her. I don’t want to lose her now!”

I'm good at remembering names... Lol ok so not that good, I was writing at school and of course I didn't have the story with me so I was like Damn Damn Avril has three kids (this was before the twins) I couldn't remember Aiden's name... I sat there yelling at myself for like ten minutes before it came to me.... The other kids thought I was going insane... Little do they know that I'm already there!!! Ok update for you!

“Honey, their sister lives two blocks from here. You’re not gonna lose Katie.” He calmed down at that, and walked out of the room with Katie.

Avril, Deryck, and the kids stayed until after dinner. When they left, the house was very quiet. The others had left before dinner that evening. It was just Chris, the kids, and me. “Wow, I don’t think I have heard silence in the past few days.” Chris smiled down at me. “I know, sounds nice, doesn’t it?” I nodded and relaxed into the chair a little more. At about ten o’clock I took the kids all to bed.

Two days later Avril was over at the house. Deryck and Chris were out together, for some quiet. Avril and I were watching Oprah, when there was a knock on the door. I got up and answered it. I smiled when I saw Evan and Sinead. I let them both in and invited them into the living room. “What’s up guys?” We were all sitting down now. Evan smiled and looked at me. Then he looked at Avril. “Well, we have some news.” He was quiet for a second to let the suspense well up.
