FFC - Shine On: Micheal's Story

--------------------------------- The door clicked shut. Avril sighed and looked around her deserted houe. Today, she thought. It was a haunting thought, a haunting day that she so desperately wished to never live through but knew she couldn't live without. The things that are inevitable hurt the most. She walked over to her dresser, picked up that familiar picture, and sat down. Deryck was out. He would be gone all day, going through the motions that had become so familiar to them. It wasn't a bad thing, because even as a married couple, it wasn't necessary for them to always be together. There was something so ok about this, probably because of the immense trust that had been built up between her and Deryck. It was different than most other people's idea of trust, but her and Deryck were ok with this. Avril stared at the picture. She ran her picture over her glowing face, to Deryck's glowing face, and finally down to Micheal's face. He was smiling a genuine smile, his head full of hair, looking alive and carefree; looking happy. It was one of the last pictures that had been taken before... Avril shook her head. She wanted so desperately to go back to when things were ok, but the past couldn't be changed. This would be her day. She would look at the picture and remember. Life had to go on, but today was the exception. She needed that. But this year felt different. Avril looked outside. It was warm, and the sun was shining through the clouds. She got up, walked over to her computer, and opened a word document. On top, she typed "Shine on: Micheal's Story". Yes, this year was different, much different. It had been three years. It was time to tell his story. With a tear running down her face, Avril began to write.

I don't get it, who's Micheal? and is that it? or is there more updates to come? :/ Hmm...
The confusion doesn't really leave me wanting to know the next part. You're a good writer... but i don't get the story.
