Sooo...I know I'm like the only person here who frequents FanFiction.net, and I'm the only one on here who could possibly decipher phrases like OC, OOC, AU, oneshot, and drabble. But a oneshot is a fanfic that only has one section, so this won't be updated. It's just a cute little idea someone decides to write, and I got the idea for this from a CSI oneshot.
PS: If anyone is wondering, OC is original character (something that only applies to fanfics, because otherwise EVERYONE is an original character), OOC means out of character, AU means alternative universe, and a drabble is a tiny fic less than two hundred words long.

Avril tossed and turned for nearly fifteen minutes, but couldn't get to sleep. Groaning, she buried her head on her husband's chest. Deryck's hand found its way down Avril's back.
"You okay, honey?" he asked softly, sounding only half awake.
"I don't feel well." Deryck gave his wife's waist a gentle squeeze.
"Just try to go back to sleep," he advised. Avril, whose patience was running short, just nodded and continued trying to sleep.
Only a few moments later, Avril bolted up in bed. "This isn't working...I feel awful!" she moaned, and she ran to the bathroom to be sick.
Not again, thought Deryck. He got up and followed Avril into the bathroom, preparing himself for another long night.
Kneeling by Avril's side, Deryck whispered "I'm here, Av..." and began to rub her back. Tears were running down Avril's beautiful face. It pained Deryck to see his wife like this, but he felt guilty when he didn't help her.
After vomiting some more, Avril pulled herself up. "Deryck, go to bed," she said weakly. "I'll be fine." After some minor arguing, Deryck left to go back to bed, figuring Avril wanted to be alone but just didn't want to say it outright.
The second the door was closed, Avril leaned against the wall and began to sob. Now that Deryck was gone, she could finally cry. Avril didn't want Deryck to know how bad she was feeling. It was mostly because she didn't want to admit even to herself that she was sick. She never did.
The next morning, Deryck woke up and found a tiny figure snuggling herself in his arms. Grinning, Deryck whispered, "Morning, baby."
"Morning," Avril smiled. She leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on Deryck's lips.
"I take it you're feeling better?" Deryck ran his fingers through Avril's long blonde hair.
"Yeah, tons."
"I'll make you breakfast," Deryck offered. He loved doing anything he could to make his wife happy.
"You're the best, you know that?" Avril took the small twinkle in Deryck's eyes to mean "yes".
Avril lay in bed watching the morning news while Deryck was downstairs cooking. She was glad when there was no mention of her or Deryck on E!. This was the first time in weeks that there hadn't been rumors and speculation from the media surrounding them.
"Breakfast is ready." Deryck poked his head in the door. Grinning, he added, "I can feed you if you want."
"Thanks, but I'm capable of feeding myself." Avril eyed the pancakes and eggs Deryck had brought her. "God, I'm starving!" She took a bite out of a syrup-covered pancake and then pressed her lips to Deryck's. They kissed and exchanged saliva - and all of the other materials in their mouths.
"Mmm," said Deryck as they pulled away from each other. "Tastes like maple syrup with a hint of Avril."
Avril laid her head on Deryck's chest. "I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too. I'm glad you're feeling better."
"I was fine, really," Avril protested. "I'm getting used to this cycle." The "cycle " Avril was referring to consisted of Avril getting sick frequently and not being able to eat for hours, then being starving and overeating when it was all over. This cycle had been going on for a few weeks now.
Deryck chose not to argue when Avril insisted on being fine. He knew no matter how hard he pushed her, Avril would never admit weakness. Instead of starting a fight he knew he would never win, he tucked Avril's hair behind her ear and whispered, "You look gorgeous. I don't think anyone can make eating pancakes look as sexy as you do."
Just to tease Deryck, Avril took another forkful of pancakes and syrup and slowly raised it to her mouth. She put the fork in her mouth and seductively sucked everything off. When the fork came out of Avril's mouth, all traces of syrup were gone.
"Oh, fuck Avril," groaned Deryck. "I wanna pin you down and pull all your clothes right off of you."
Avril grinned and placed her hand on her swollen stomach. "Forgive me for being observant, babe, but isn't that how we got ourselves into this mess in the first place?"
