this is my 2nd fanfic. i haven't finished my 1st one (When Former Friends Attack) yet because i lost my inspiration

but i might finish it someday. LOL.
this new story is about a girl named alyssa who loves avril, meets her and becomes friends with her. in the beginning of the story, shes a lot like me. the prologue is how she got into avril, and it is almost exactly the way my own interest began. i have not thought of a title for this story. so if anyone wants to suggest one that would be helpful. i seriously have no idea what to call it, haha.
so anyway hope ya like it

Prologue: 2002

I am so happy that it's Christmas!! I think as I lay in bed at 6:30 am. Too bad my parents won't get up this early. I want to see what Santa brought SO BADLY. (What do you mean there's no Santa? I'm only 10, can't I believe??)
Finally, at around 7, I persuade Mom and Dad to get up. I look at all the colorful packages around the Christmas tree and start ripping them open.
About half an hour later I select a flat, square-shaped package and open it. It's the Avril Lavigne CD. I had heard her songs "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi" before, but nothing else.
"I hope you like it," says Mom. I smile and put it aside.

4:30 pm

After a long day of opening presents, running around in the snow with Dad, and having Christmas dinner, I am bored. I wonder what else I can do. I looked at all my gifts...
Oh wait. I have a CD I can listen to! I snatch it up and go upstairs to my mom's spacious, light-filled bedroom. I rip the plastic off the case and pop the CD into my dad's portable player. I clamp the headphones to my ears and study the back of the case. It says that "Complicated" is track #2, so I turn the CD player on and press the fast-forward button twice.
Suddenly I am surrounded by wonderful music. I know I've heard "Complicated" before, but I wasn't listening to it very closely. It's awesome. I don't think I've ever liked a song as much as I like "Complicated" right now.
"Sk8er Boi" comes on. Oh my God, this is a GOOD CD! I've only heard two songs but I can already tell.
I play those two tracks over and over as I sit on my mom's bed. The music is making me forget everything, especially school. Fifth grade is so hard, what with the "cool kids" and wanting to fit in and all that. Avril seems like a powerful girl who doesn't care as much about that stuff. Plus, her voice is really beautiful.
I finally come back downstairs, and start to read one of my new books. I can't concentrate. I feel lost without the music. I want to listen to Avril Lavigne 24/7, and not stop till the batteries in the CD player run out. And then I'd get some new ones and listen to her some more. The music is inside of me now, and it can't get out.
I think I just found my favorite singer.

sorry that it was long, and that not much happened.

yeah...now that i read it over i realize that i completely drew from my own experience. like, it actually was 4:30pm when i went upstairs to listen to avril...dont ask me how i remember that.

I couldn't say Sk8er boi
so i said S-K-Acht-er boi xp....
but hey I was in year 3 there and didn't even have english in school.....
but I know some guys hwo speak english this bad in year 8 still....

here's an update

this is where the fictional part of the story starts...

Alyssa's POV

This is the best day of my life. I am at an Avril concert and I am in the front row!
I have now liked her for over five years. I have bought all her albums, plastered my walls with posters and have now taken the ultimate step--buying tickets to her 2008 tour. I waited in the arena lobby for hours so I could be first in line, and I outran everyone to get to the front of the general admission section.
I am going crazy, screaming, jumping and dancing. Avril is playing the "Girlfriend" Remix, and then she'll do "Sk8er Boi" and that'll be the end. I'm kind of sad that it will be over.
Right before "Sk8er Boi" starts. I see Avril's hand reaching out for mine. "Come on, girl!" she yells.
Feeling like I'm in a dream, I grab her hand and she pulls me onstage.
"I thought I could use a little help from this young lady," says Avril. "What's your name?"
Good question. "Um...Alyssa Clark," I manage to get out.
"Well, Alyssa Clark, how about you start? You sing the first verse, then we'll harmonize during the chorus."
"O-Okay," I say. The music starts up and I begin to sing. It is amazing having everyone's eyes on you as you perform. Now I know how Avril feels.
The song is over before I know it. Avril takes my hand and we lift our arms into the air. "Give it up for Alyssa!" she yells.
The crowd screams. Are they cheering extra-loud for me, or is it my imagination?
As the crowd thins out and the lights come back up, Avril says, "Hey Alyssa, come with me."
"Why?" I ask.
"I dunno. I like you. Now let's go!" she answers before pulling me backstage.

you know, now i'm kinda jealous of alyssa, which is funny because she's a character i made up!! LOL.
