Great question! I am totally willing to extend the deadline to the end of January, but to be able to send money to the school we're sponsoring, it needs to be sent in by the end of January. I made that deadline a few weeks before the end of January because I wanted to make sure checks had time to get to IC and whatnot. Should I extend it?
Guess what !
i went to the coordinator of charities at my school. he said that if i get some written 'literature' of the Charity, so it isnt a no. also I asked if whenever people are struggling to find a charity to give money too we could give it to this one! he loved that idea. well anyway i need your guys help!
Honestly, there are million and one written things about the charity. Check their website. They have a section for publicity they've gotten.

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
I'm going to talk to my mom about donating 20 bucks tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to donate more later on. I have the perfect story. She can't say no.
...I haven't really gotten around to explaing the wonderful world of bandaids to my parents.

Ok, I'm sorry. She decided to not be home tonight, and my dad is a wee bit occupied. Oh, and my mom has the credit card.
I'll get it tomorow. I swear.
It makes me so happy that people are actually helping out with this.

Me too! Wouldn't it be great to raise $1000! I'm going to get a list of those surveys from Sharifa tomorrow and we'll send those out to all the members
