Showing her charitable side, Ashley Greene was spotted arriving at Kitson in West
Hollywood yesterday (April 30) to promote her “Donate My Dress” initiative.
The “Twilight” hottie showed up in a red shirt/shorts combo with her pooch pal, looking
excited to be shopping for some duds to donate.
And Miss Greene showed off several outfits during her shopping spree including a pink
scoopneck top with jeans and a blue minidress.
Donate My Dress is an organization that helps high school girls who can’t otherwise
afford a prom dress get one for their big night.

There's a new love in Ashley Greene's life, and much like her Twilight costars, it has
fur and fangs (albeit tiny ones).
"She was meant to be mine," gushed the 22-year-old actress, who plays the pixie-like
vampire Alice Cullen in the popular series, of her new puppy, Marlow. "I wasn't looking
for a dog, and I happened to see her picture online, and I was like, 'I have to have
that dog.' "
The lucky canine in question – a white Toy Fox Terrier – spent the evening in the lap
of luxury as Greene lovingly cradled her throughout much of the For Joseph launch
party at the new Kitson Melrose in West Hollywood. The twosome even posed for
photos with Greene's fellow on-screen vampire, Kellan Lutz – Marlow showing her
excitement by alternating between dozing and shivering.
"I'm already so that girl that brings her puppy to an event," Greene admitted to PEOPLE,
adding, "I just got her today, and I was like, 'I can't leave her home alone all day!' "
As for how Marlow got her name, Greene said, laughing, "I really liked the name
Harlow, but that's Nicole Richie's kid's name, so I thought that might not be entirely
appropriate, so I just changed the first letter."
Anna Kendrick’s biggest splash to date has been the scene stealer in Twilight. Everyone
I know who was forced to see it, and came away feeling dumber and ashamed, everyone
noted that its few non-cringe moments were provided by Anna Kendrick. She’s charming.
There are brighter days ahead for Anna Kendrick. She doesn’t need Robert Pattinson.
Because she’s working with George Clooney and unless you’ve lobotomised by Edward
Cullen’s dazzle dust, you know that George Clooney >>>>>>>>> Robert Pattinson.
The film, as mentioned earlier, is called Up In The Air. Directed by Jason Reitman. Anna
has been nominated for a Tony Award, has already completed The Marc Please
Experience with Ben Stiller and Jason Schwartzman, plays Stacey Pilgrim in the much
anticipated Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, and has landed on several “ones to watch” lists
even BEFORE her headlining features have been released.
This is a girl many people have been talking about.
Earlier this week, before arriving in Vancouver to shoot more scenes for New Moon
(photos to come), Anna was in Omaha, Nebraska with Clooney/ Am told she was
the sweetest, sat with the crew and the extras at lunch, very humble, totally
unassuming, and can more than hold her own with George.
This is Anna yesterday before heading to work late night on set of New Moon in
Vancouver. Set photos on the way.
* Taylor Lautner's Success Doesn't Surprise Robert Rodriguez
'New Moon' star made a big impression on his 'Sharkboy' director in 2005.
Back in 2005, an up-and-coming Taylor Lautner, then 13-years-old, auditioned to play
a young superhero named Sharkboy and instantly won the heart of director Robert
Rodriguez. Of course, Lautner got the role in "The Adventures of Sharkboy and
Lavagirl 3-D" and would eventually win the hearts of teen girls everywhere as
werewolf Jacob Black in the "Twilight" franchise.
Rodriguez says he isn't at all surprised to see the now 17-year-old Lautner becoming
a household name. He knew the young star possessed that "it" quality four years
ago. "He was the first actor we saw for 'Sharkboy and Lavagirl' and we picked him
right off," he explained to MTV News at the "Star Trek" premiere in Los Angeles. "He
was the first actor who came in, and we knew he was the guy."
It was Lautner's natural charisma that won over the "Sin City" director. "He had so
much personality," he said. "[He's] athletic [and] smart."
Now that Lautner is filming "New Moon" and rumored to be dating "Wizards of Waverly
Place" star Selena Gomez, it appears that he has found a place as one of the princes
of young Hollywood. "It's no surprise to me that he was going to go on to great
things," the director said. "We knew it immediately when we saw him."
Rodriguez is very unwilling to take any credit for Lautner's success, insisting that it's
all Taylor's own doing. "He kind of made himself," Rodriguez said. "He may have walked
in fully formed."
Robert Pattinson is in Vancouver gearing up for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," the
blood-sucking sequel to Catherine Hardwicke's wildly successful teen-vampire-romance
movie, "Twilight." And like love the second time around, it's not the same.
"It's strange because it already feels much more of a slick machine," Pattinson says
of the film, which is being directed by Chris Weitz. "The first one we had such a
young cast. Everybody was friends. It was fun. There was nothing like what it is
now. Now there are people waiting outside the hotels all the time. We have
security. It's crazy."
And Pattinson hasn't even started yet. He's been in Vancouver for three weeks
pacing up and down his hotel room while the shoot has been under way because
"I like to get some kind of momentum going in my own process, so when I actually
turn up on the set I should know vaguely what I'm talking about."
Pattinson, whose almost ethereal beauty has been a key part of "Twilight's" success,
is nothing if not self-deprecating. He delivers his thoughts in a stuttering, half-finished
manner distantly related to another British heartthrob, Hugh Grant. He also seems
to share Grant's well-known discomfort with attention. In fact, the only respite from
all the screaming women recently has been movie sets.
"I feel like most of the time for the past few months I'm pretty much working every
time I get out of the house, working or not, so I might as well be working," he says.
"I'm always in work mode. Just in case someone comes up to you, you've got to have
your game face on."
Probably none of this will change with the release of his newest film, Paul Morrison's
"Little Ashes" - if for no other reason than few of his fans will see it. Shot before
"Twilight" made Pattinson a tousle-haired poster boy, the film, set primarily in the 1920s,
is about the relationship between Spanish poet-playwright Frederico Garcia Lorca (Javier
Beltran) and Surrealist gadfly Salvador Dali (Pattinson). What begins as a mutual
admiration society of up-and-coming artists becomes much, much more. Speculation
has it that Lorca and Dali were, or almost became, lovers. The film goes there, to a
degree that made Pattinson very uncomfortable until he actually saw it.
"I guess I was expecting things to be more graphic," Pattinson says. "There's so much
shame involved, and the thing I was really worried about was trying to show the
madness of it."
In fact, the only aspect of the film that seems to trouble him now is the not-at-all
convincing aging of Dali to 30 or so. Pattinson was 21 when he made the film, and
he looks it. Ironically, he faces the opposite problem with the "Twilight" series. His
character, Edward, never ages, so he has to look like an undead teenager through
the three sequels he's contractually obligated to appear in.
"I think all of them will be done within a year and half," he says. "The whole thing is
about change and aging. So it would look ridiculous if I'm playing 17 when I look 35."
Which is another way of saying that Pattinson is unconcerned about being locked into
author Stephenie Meyer's franchise in the same way that the Harry Potter cast has
been in theirs. It won't last that long.
Then it will be interesting to see in which direction Pattinson decides to go. No doubt
his fans would prefer him to continue looking good, but he appears to have other
ideas. He talks about one part he's considering in which he speaks a foreign language
he doesn't know and another in which he plays "an incredibly abusive, terrifying
character." He certainly seems to like playing characters who are tormented, or at least
struggling with who they are.
"I try to choose things which are something that I'm going through in my life," he says.
"Jobs that will help me realize or add something about myself. I don't really think about
it in terms of a career." {sbox}
Little Ashes (R) opens Friday at Bay Area theaters.

*Exclusive: Pattinson Gets Serious, Tells Us 'How to Be'
You know him as the vampy star of "Twilight," but Robert Pattinson has a few
other projects going on that you may not have heard of. One of them is the indie
flick "How to Be," available on IFC Direct starting April 29.
In the film he plays Art, a guy who doesn’t really fit in (imagine that!) and is looking
for his place in the world. Art is stuck in a rut and enlists an elderly self-help guru to
guide him down the road of life. Pattinson sat down for an exclusive interview and
gave us the inside scoop on singing live in the movie and how he relates to this
dysfunctional character.
Hey, um... what colour are Riley's eyes supposed to be?
