Dakota Fanning signing autographs for fans. Jamie Campbell Bower and Cameron
Bright hanging out downtown, and Ashley Greene grabbing street meat! Her stock just
went up. Sigh. I miss street meat. My stomach was stronger back in the day. I could go
for street meat any time. Then a couple of years ago, well, it changed. My intestines
decided I was officially an old hag in her 30s and wouldn’t accept it. F-cker.
Ashley Greene, barely into her 20s, clearly doesn’t have to worry.
On set at New Moon today – Kristen is shooting interiors. Mostly the “depression”
montages where Bella decides her life is worthless without Edward. Ugh. She sits by
the window a lot and mopes. And has nightmares.
Also shooting with a different crew – most of the vampires in town are doing green
screen work to complement footage that was complete over the last few days: fight
sequences, some added stunts, something about a vampire getting his head torn off.
More angles of Edward getting tossed around, against the wall, up towards the ceiling,
and Alice unable to help him.
Here’s an added little bonus for you Pattinson fans: am told he’s been working out a lot
lately. At the gym almost every day.
Already finished up with her filming duties, Dakota Fanning was spotted preparing to
leave Vancouver on Tuesday afternoon (May 12).
The 15-year-old “I Am Sam” sweetheart spent only a week up north in Canada, busily
shooting scenes for the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon.”
Meanwhile, Miss Fanning is lined up to reunite with “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart, as
both will be joining forces on the upcoming film “The Runaways”.
Directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film is described as “a coming-of-age biopic about ‘70s
teenage band The Runaways.”
Enjoy the pictures of Dakota Fanning flying out of Vancouver (May 12).
* Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner: Vancouver Outing
Continuing to spend plenty of time together, Selena Gomez was spotted out in
Vancouver with Taylor Lautner on Tuesday afternoon (May 12).
Accompanied by Taylor’s dad, the Disney damsel and the “New Moon” hunk headed
off to grab a bite to eat - doing their very best to avoid having photos taken alongside
one another.
In related news, Miss Gomez recently gave an interview about her love of high-end
designer heels.
She tells WWD, “I would feel gorgeous in Christian Louboutins. My mom and I now wear
the same shoe size, so my .... closet has doubled. We probably own more than 100
pairs. We always say how funny it is that we have 100 pairs of shoes and yet we always
want to wear the same pair at the same time. But we usually find a happy medium.”
When asked which kicks are her favorite, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” starlet replied,
“I really like BCBG, that’s my favorite line. I also like Nine West. And I probably own about
20 pairs of Converse. I love wearing them with shorts, capris and even dresses.”
Stepping out with her gal pal, Nikki Reed ventured out for the day’s yoga class with
Sage Dill in Los Angeles on Tuesday (May 12).
The “New Moon” actress and her rocker gal pal parted ways following their sweat
session, with Miss Reed heading over to Whole Foods to do a little grocery shopping.
As for the yoga sessions, it seems that Nikki’s hard work is paying off - as she cracked
into this year’s Maxim Hot 100 List, placing at No. 42.
And Nikki wasn’t the only “Twilight” star hitting the magazine’s annual who’s hot
rundown - as co-star Ashley Greene made the field at No. 68.
Enjoy the pictures of Nikki Reed out and about with Sage Dill (May 12).
She’s been the wunderkind of the film industry her whole career, and earlier today
(May 12) Dakota Fanning was spotted showing some love to her loyal fans.
The “I Am Sam” cutie took some time off of her “New Moon” duties to sign autographs
and pose for pictures in downtown Vancouver, Canada.
And it sounds like Miss Fanning is making quite an impression on the movie set- costar
Michael Sheen recently tweeted about how authentic she is as her character.
Sheen’s Twitter page read, “I think Dakota may look the most unsettling though. So
angelic yet so weird. As Jane that is of course. Like an evil red riding hood.”
Enjoy the pictures of Dakota Fanning out in Vancouver (May 12).
* Nikki Reed Will Be In Italy For 'New Moon' -- But Will Her Character?
'I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book,' the actress says.
SANTA MONICA, California — As filming continues in Vancouver on "Twilight" sequel
"New Moon," director Chris Weitz and his young stars are building toward the part of
Stephenie Meyer's tale when a distraught Edward (Robert Pattinson) flees to Italy, with
Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Alice (Ashley Greene) soon to follow.
Twilighters know that many fan favorites will be left behind during the trip to Italy. One
of the stars, however, plans to go along for the ride — even if her character won't.
"Put it this way: I am not in any of the scenes in Italy, but we've already made sure that
I am going to Italy while they shoot that," Nikki Reed laughed, revealing plans to witness
the Volturi firsthand. "Because I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book."
As Twilighters know, Nikki's no-nonsense vampire Rosalie will check out of the film along
with many other key characters once the Italian scenes begin. But Reed promised her
fans that if you want Rosalie to be there when Alice and Bella rush to save Edward, well,
she kinda will be.
"Basically [I'm just going to watch them shoot]," Reed said. "And also, it is a chance to
be in Italy and pretend like it's a work [excuse]. I have to be there — because I am in
the film, so it's really important that I go along."
Reed did promise us, however, that she won't be going to Italy with hopes that Weitz
will see her on set and decide he might as well interject Rosalie into some additional
scenes. "Absolutely not," she promised. "No. I feel so strongly about them sticking to
the books.
"In fact, there was a scene in a very early draft of the 'New Moon' [script] that they
had invented that was not in the books," Reed revealed. "And there was a discussion,
and that scene is no longer in the script.
"I don't want to be in more of the movie just to be in more of the movie — and I think
if they do that with any of the other actors that it is ridiculous, because I think that the
only way that we can succeed is to stick to the books," she insisted. "If you are worried
about how to please the fans, you will fail if you don't stick to the books."
* Selena Gomez & Taylor Lautner: Dinner Date Night
Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner chat it up together as they leave a downtown
Vancouver restaurant on Tuesday evening (May 12).
Since Selena, 16, came to Vancouver to film Ramona and Beezus, the duo have been
spending a lot of time together. Sel even gave Taylor’s dad, Daniel, a big hug as they
parted ways.
Selena’s costar Joey King tweeted this afternoon, saying, “Will you guys go and see
Ramona and Beezus? pleeeeeeaaasssse? thats the movie I am shooting now with Selena.”

* ‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson Sighted In The Vicinity Of Director Peter Berg
The spice might soon be flowing, right onto Robert Pattinson’s resume. When it comes
to the vampire heartthrob, absolutely nothing is yesterday’s news. That said, Perez
Hilton reported that the actor was spotted leaving the Los Angeles home of director
Peter Berg yesterday while on a break from the ongoing “New Moon” shoot. Berg and
Pattinson may very well just be friends, but this fanboy is hoping that the two met to
discuss the actor’s possible involvement in Berg’s upcoming “Dune” remake.
Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi novel “Dune” was adapted for the silver screen by director
David Lynch in 1984. Although Lynch managed to hit the novel’s key points, his
tendency towards the avant-garde ultimately led to the mixed bag of fan reception
that followed in the wake of the adaptation’s release. Liberal changes made to the
story didn’t help either, with the worst offender being a ridiculous shout-activated
sonic handgun.
A far more faithful adaption, entitled “Frank Herbert’s Dune,” ran on the Sci Fi Channel
in 2000 as a six-hour miniseries. Director John Harrison did a commendable job with the
budget he was given, but the miniseries had neither the large-scale production nor the
reach that one would expect from a full-blown blockbuster film.
Berg, who is no stranger to delivering for wide audiences, has the best shot so far at
tapping into the same sort of mass appeal with “Dune” that J.J. Abrams did with this
week’s “Star Trek.” Pattinson’s “Twilight” stardom and youthful good looks will certainly
draw a crowd, especially if Berg is considering him for the leading role of Paul Atreides.
Bear in mind, all of this is purely speculative and based on a Perez Hilton celeb sighting.
So make sure to pour out a few grains of salt before getting your hopes up.
What say you “Dune” fans? Can you see Pattinson riding the sandworms of Arrakis in
the role of Paul Atreides? Would he be a better fit for another character? Or do you
chalk all of this up to the wild ravings of fanboy speculation?
New Moon Volturi members Cameron Bright and Jamie Bower–who will play Alec and Caius–were seen bonding off the set yesterday on the streets of Vancouver. Lainey Gossip has the Punkd pics and says–

Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie in New Moon, will be traveling to Italy with the cast of New Moon–even though her character is not featured in this part of the book. She says she just wants to hang out on the set and in Italy with her Twilight friends–

New Moon star Robert Pattinson is turning 23 today, May 13th, 2009! The birthday boy shares the date with Harvey Keitel, Stephen Colbert, Stevie Wonder and and Dennis Rodman. Happy Birthday, Spunk Ransom–here’s looking forward to many more!
Proving that the love for Robert Pattinson truly is worldwide, Twilight fans in Indonesia had a big birthday party event for Robert Pattinson, which received coverage on local media as well. Check out the video.
Variety is reporting that Robert Pattinson has signed on to star in yet another film, Unbound Captives by Madeline Stowe. He will star alongside karaoke buddy Hugh Jackman and actress Rachel Weisz.
“I saw three actresses, and knew after meeting with Rachel that she was the person I wanted to hand this role to,” she said. “Robert said yes last fall, before everything broke with ‘Twilight.’ Hugh said yes a couple of weeks ago.”
The story was originally supposed to star Stowe as the female lead when the film was first to be made by Ridley Scott as director in 1993. 16 years later, Stowe will be directing instead–
She would have played a woman (now to be played by Weisz) whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Comanche war party in 1859. She is rescued by a frontiersman, to be played by Jackman. Pattinson will play the son.
This film joins several other films Pattinson is working on, such as Bel-Ami and Remember Me .
Some eagle-eyed fans have spotted that the jacket Bella wears in New Moon is the Billabong Hannah jacket. The jacket is already selling out on a wide scale to rabid fans, and people are already scalping it for many times it regular price of $60. Ten recent eBay auctions show the jacket selling for $180-$370.
A lucky reader, Lisa/LMCullen, found one of the Billabong Hannah jackets before they were a hot commodity, and took the above pictures for us.
Has anyone else found one of these jackets at a decent price? Any shopping tips?
Michael Sheen, who plays Aro of the Volturi in New Moon, has finished filming his parts in Vancouver. He is now headed to London, according to his recent Tweets. He should be headed to Italy at the end of the month.
