* Nikki, Kristen & Ashley - Hottest Actresses Of 2009
Actresses to Watch Out for This Year
Hollywood is full of beautiful women. Over the last year we have met some incredible
women who are blazing their own trail on the red carpet. Take a look with me at the
top ten hottest actresses right now. Not only are they beautiful, but these ladies are
serious about their craft. These top ten are in no particular order.
Twilight has captured the hearts of women everywhere, and we love these ladies of
Twilight and the soon to be released New Moon on November 20, 2009.
Kristen Stewart: You know her as Jodi Foster's daughter in Panic Room. She was also
the love interest in Into The Wild with Emile Hirsch. Stewart was born and raised in Los
Angeles California and started acting when she was just 9 years old. See her in the new
movie Adventureland, and Stephenie Meyer's New Moon, and Eclipse.
Nikki Reed: You know this beauty from the movie Thirteen which she co wrote, and
Lords of Dogtown. The movie Thirteen is actually based on Nikki's life and experiences as
a 13 year old girl, and the peer pressures teenagers encounter. She was born in West
Los Angeles California. She never had any desire to become an actress , but when it was
hard to cast for a role in her screen play Thirteen it was suggested that she play the part,
and her career took off from there. See her in the much anticipated New Moon with
Kristen Stewart .
Ashley Greene: This stunning lady born in Jacksonville Florida wanted to be a model.
When she was told she was not tall enough she began to explore acting. She has had
various small roles in television series such as Crossing Jordan, but her claim to fame is
Twilight. You can see her also in the upcoming film New Moon.
JJJ reader Brianne snuggles into Twilight stars Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone and Peter
Facinelli at the Twilight EyeCon this past weekend in Orlando, Fla.
Brianne writes to us about her experience, saying, “I live in Florida and these past three
days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), me and my dad went to the Twilight EyeCon at the
Florida Hotel. Anyway, the guests there were Edi Gathegi, Peter, Jackson, and Kellan. I
got autographs and pictures with Peter, Jackson, and Kellan. They were the sweetest
guys. They all did these awesome Q&A sessions.”
She continued, “At Jackson’s, I never realized how deep his voice was. I asked him if he
had to choose one, which would he choose: a full time career in music or a full time career
in acting? In a nutshell, he said he loves all forms of art, and he would find a way to do
both at the same time. He said he always plays his guitar in between takes and such. Also,
he also started to blush a little bit and get a little awkward when a fan asked him if he was
stuck on a desert island with a cast mate, which would he choose, and he said Ashley
(Greene) and no more.
“At Kellan’s Q&A, he was such a sweetheart and he even let this little boy come onto
the stage with him. Jackson’s band, 100 monkeys, played and the band The Nova Echo
opened for them. They rocked the house! I got to give all of them hugs, and I gotta say,
Kellan’s muscles are huge! Anyway, I’ll attach some pics, and the picture with all of them
holding up sketches are my dad’s portraits of them. He is a professional artist and we gave
them each a copy of them. Kellan loved his and didn’t want to put it down!”

* Justin Guarini Still Hopes To Be On 'New Moon' Soundtrack
'I'm just happy they are considering it,' the 'American Idol' alum says of his song, 'I
Can't Live.'
Long before rumors emerged that Kelly Clarkson may have a song on the "New Moon"
soundtrack, fellow "American Idol" alum and "From Justin to Kelly" co-star Justin Guarini
was launching a campaign to get his song "I Can't Live" on the album for "Twilight" sequel.
Believe it or not, Guarini insists that he's not just trying to bank on the success of the
franchise. He says it's because he's a big "Twilight" fan. "I'm a fan of the books," Guarini
told MTV News. "At the time I went in to write this song, the two other writers were
talking about the books, and we got into a conversation about it. As we were writing it,
we thought, there's a new movie coming out, and so why not give it a shot? And so,
we sent it in."
Although Guarini's "New Moon" fate is still up in the air, he did say that the folks at the
Chop Shop, the film's music supervisors, have told him they've given the song a listen
and will let him know if he makes the cut as soon as the decision is made. Guarini said
that's more than enough recognition for now. "I'm just happy they are considering it,"
said the TV Guide Channel host, who's currently working on his third full-length album. "It
would be an honor to be on the soundtrack."
Guarini said that the response from Twilighters has been mixed, however. Some fans
have been supportive, while others have been "dead set against it." "The reason why I
posted the demo is because I really know that the 'Twilight' fans are really protective of
the 'Twilight' brand," he said. "I really wanted to see what they had to say about the
song, and I'm pleased and thankful that the response has been generally positive."
* Proscenium Pictures Sign May Indicate Filming in Montepulciano
There has been a mysterious sign spotted in Montepulciano on a gate of the Fortezza.
The sign says that “No Visitors Allowed” by order of Proscenium Pictures. This is the same
company that recently held audtions for extras, as shown in the flyer that was posted
previously. This sign may indicate pre-production is under way at this location to begin
filming later this month.

Here’s a new audio interview with Michael Welch, who plays Mike Newton in New Moon. Of interest, he compares Twilight with New Moon–
“I think Twilight was really Summit dipping their toe in the water”…..”this time around … they put a lot of money in it, with time and prep–Twilight felt like an independent film compared to New Moon”
He also says Chris Weitz is one of “the better directors I’ve ever worked with” and that filming for Eclipse starts in August.
NECA has a pretty amazing new Twilight product, and only 5000 will be made worldwide. It’s a full set of 72 Twilight trading cards with an official binder, and the Dr. Carlisle Cullen card is personally signed by Peter Facinelli himself.
It’s only going to be available from Amazon, and is available for
in Taylor Lautner
Day 20 of New Moon star Taylor Lautner and newfound friend Selena Gomez friendwatch. Selena gave the imminently cuddleable Papa Wolf aka Mr. Lautner a bear hug. No, this does not mean Selena Gomez is dating Taylor’s dad. All smiles between the pair as usual. They look happy.

Robert Pattinson celebrated his 23rd birthday last night at Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver after a long 12-hour day of shooting in the studio for New Moon. Rob celebrated with New Moon castmates including Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Jamie Bower. He got there around 9pm and left by 1am, at which time eager fans saw him on the way to his taxi and stopped him in order to get photographs. Check out the rest of the pics of Rob leaving Glowbal last night over at EntertainmentWise.
Check out these new interviews with New Moon vamps Edi Gathegi, Kellan Lutz and Peter Facinelli where they chat about what to expect in New Moon. Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the film, says that we can expect a lot of new eye candy in New Moon–
The werewolves have taken over Vancouver. You have all of these new cast members who are really buff, good looking Native American guys. They are running around everywhere.
Kellan Lutz, also known as Emmett Cullen to fans, compares the process of creating Twilight to New Moon and seems to think New Moon is progressing extremely smoothly–
Nothing on New Moon has been crazy. For the actors it has been easy. We got to try new things with our characters which was great. I have to say that I like the New Moon screenplay better than Twilight. And it was really cool to see how Rob was incorporated into the screenplay.
Ever dreamed about playing baseball with the Cullens, just like in Twilight? On July 4th in Portland, you’ll be able to watch members of the New Moon cast up close and personal as they compete in a baseball game, and fans will also have a chance to compete on the field against crew earlier in the day.
Fans will compete against each other and the crew during the first half of the day. The fan game will be followed by Vampire Baseball™ featuring cast and crew from the movie Twilight which was filmed in the Portland area. Actors Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Edi Gathegi, Rachelle Levefre, Solomon Trimble, Michael Welch, Ayanna Berkshire, Alex Meraz, Christian Serratos, Kiowa Gordon, and Catherine Grimme will all be present to participate in the festivities. PGE Park, a professional baseball stadium and home of the Portland Beavers, has been reserved for their exclusive use and fans will cheer on their favorite teams from the Grand Stand and have the opportunity to take as many pictures (no video allowed) as they like when cast and crew take to the field.

Check out these new pictures from inside the New Moon cast party that took place last Friday at the Blue Water Cafe in Vancouver. Is that Charlie Bewley (Demetri) sitting between Michael Sheen (Aro) and Cameron Bright (Alec)?
Check out these pics of two possible sets of props that will be used in New Moon that were moved about this morning in Montepulciano–TwilightersItalia has the pictures and says–
Here are the pictures, directly from Montepulciano, taken this morning.
The pictures portray a production van while unloading pews looking old and some gothic statues made of paper pulp, bringing them in the inside of the town hall.
It looks like some red flags have been moved from a near building too.”
Robert Pattinson started his acting career with Harry Potter, and now New Moon star Jamie Bower will star in a Harry Potter film as well. Jamie’s agent confirmed to L’Univers de Harry Potter from Cannes that he will play “the most infamous dark wizard of all time” Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Jamie Campbell-Bower is currently playing Caius in the Twilight sequel New Moon, and previously starred in the Tim Burton film Sweeney Todd.
Did Robert Pattinson’s mother and father help him celebrate his birthday yesterday? It certainly appears like Richard and Clare Pattinson made the trip from a couple of pics taken from his celebration. Check out the above pictures, and let us know what you think!
New Moon star Robert Pattinson and Wolverine hunk Hugh Jackman are set to star alongside each other in the film Unbound Captives , and People asked Hugh what he thought–
Now that he’s conquered the box office with Wolverine, Jackman is set to star in the 19th-century drama Unbound Captives with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson. “He’s a really great actor and a really good guy,” said Jackman. “His role is phenomenal and it’s going to be really amazing stuff.”
And what does he think about Pattinson’s famous hair? “I’m not an aficionado of hair, but his looks great.“
Hugh Jackman and Robert Pattinson in the same movie? You know what that means? I just fursploded all over myself, and I’m not even a werewolf.
Lainey Gossip brings a few details of what they are currently filming up in Vancouver:
Shooting Bella bedroom scenes. He goes through her photos and she cries and mopes some more when there are no photos. Also something about her opening her eyes and there he is beside her waiting for her to wake up. Pattinson is concurrently continuing green screen work with the other vampires. Winding down his stay in Vancouver.
It looks like the word of scenes being shot in Bella’s bedroom today was no lie–check out this picture from today on the set for Bella’s house, with a huge chunk taken out of the side of the house and a camera setup lodged in the gaping hole. Check out the other pic at Twilight-Gossip.
* Robert Pattinson: Canadian Birthday Celebration!
Marking his special day with a Canadian party, Robert Pattinson stepped out on his 23rd birthday
on Wednesday (May 13) after a long 12 hours of filming inside the studio in Vancouver.
According to sources on the scene, the “Twilight” heartthrob arrived at the Global Grill and Satay
bar - bringing out co-star guests including Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Jamie Bower,
among other cast members.
The “New Moon” group arrived around 9pm and left around 1am, with Rob covering his face in
the taxi as it sped off to his hotel for the evening.
Along with celebrating his birthday, Pattinson also is coming off of the news that he’ll be joining
up with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz for a new movie called “Unbound Captives”.
Marking actress Madeline Stowe’s directorial debut, she tells, “Robert said yes last fall, before
everything broke with Twilight. Hugh said yes a couple of weeks ago.”
Enjoy the pictures of Robert Pattinson out celebrating his 23rd birthday (May 13).
Making her way over to the local post office, Nikki Reed was spotted dropping off a few items for shipment while out in Los Angeles on Wednesday (May 13).
Accompanied by gal pal Sage Dill, the “Twilight” starlet has been staying in Tinseltown while her “New Moon” co-stars finish up work in Vancouver, Canada.
From there, a few members of the cast will be heading off to Italy to film some more movie sequences. And though Miss Reed isn’t in any of the Italian-based scenes - she’s definitely not planning on missing out on the trip abroad.
“Put it this way: I am not in any of the scenes in Italy, but we’ve already made sure that I am going to Italy while they shoot that,” Reed told MTV. “I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book.”
“Basically [I’m just going to watch them shoot],” Nikki added. “And also, it is a chance to be in Italy and pretend like it’s a work [excuse]. I have to be there — because I am in the film, so it’s really important that I go along.”
Enjoy the pictures of Nikki Reed dropping by the post office (May 13).
* 23 Reasons To Love ‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson On His 23rd Birthday
In case you haven’t heard, the powers that be blessed us with Robert Pattinson twenty-three
years ago today. In other words, “Happy 23rd Birthday RPattz!”
I can’t physically give Robert a present, because a) I don’t know him and b) sending him a
cupcake with a special message would seem really creepy. Instead, I’ve decided to create a
list in his honor. What is this great list you may ask? Well, I’m going to write up 23 reasons why
I’m thankful for RPattz.
As you can imagine, thinking up 23 reasons why you’re thankful for someone can be quite
difficult, especially when you’ve never met the person, but I found it pretty easy to dream up
reasons why my pop cultured/boy-crazy life - not to mention my bulletin board and my desktop -
would be super boring if Robert wasn’t born in grand old England all those years ago. So without
further adieu, I would like to present you, my fellow “Twilight” fans, these 23 reasons why we
should all be thankful for Robert Pattinson:
23: I’m thankful that he won’t think I’m a weirdo (I hope) if he ever reads this blog post.
(wink wink)
22: He’s friends with Camilla Bell, who’s dating Joe Jonas. The possibility that RPattz jams with
a Jonas Brother is something we should all be thankful for.
21: He can totally pwn Harry Potter and kick Voldemort’s ass. Voldemort did have Cedric/RPattz
murdered by Peter Pettigrew, but he had to die and be unavailable for future installments of
Harry Potter, right? Robert wouldn’t have had any time to be in “Twilight” and a Harry
Potter/Cedric Diggory spinoff wouldn’t be as awesome.
20: He likes to read. See everyone! Reading is fundamental!
19: He has a nice accent.
18: He always has that brooding look. It’s like he’s in pain but deep in thought at the same
time. It’s kind of amazing.
17: His astrological sign is Taurus, which mean he’s dependable, romantic, passionate, and
thoughtful. ‘Nuff said.
16: According to an interview with the LA Times, coughing makes him cry. Since I have asthma,
coughing makes me cry too. We’re a match made in heaven.
15: He has his own grungy, laid-back style. He makes beanie hats look good.
14: Robert seems like a normal dude, someone you can have a nice chat with. He doesn’t come
off like one of those Hollywood player types, which is probably why so many women are crushing
on him. Remember last November when he said he hadn’t kissed a girl in a while? That’s pretty
hard to believe, but it’s cute that he doesn’t know he’s gorgeous.
13: He smells like roses. Of course I don’t really know if he does or not, but he definitely doesn’t
stink! Take that, haters!
12: He aspires to be like acting great Jack Nicholson. I aspire to be Jack Nicholson during my
spare time too.
11: When he made his first appearance in “Twilight” and entered the cafeteria, he made us all
wish that we lived in some rainy town with vampires running rampant in the woods. Sure it sounds
scary, but none of that mattered as long as we could see Robert during lunch period. It made me
yearn for my high school days. Oh the memories!
10: He can talk about his underwear, his toenails, and his not-so-stellar running ability on camera
and still make the ladies swoon. I mean how many other heartthrobs would be willing to talk about
those topics? Yeah. None.
9: If his vampire skills ever fail him, he can always resort to his expertise in wizardry. Which makes
him lethal with a wooden stick.
8: He can wear a curly cue mustache as the bizarre Salvador Dali in “Little Ashes” and still look hot.
7: He plays Edward Cullen, the sparkly immortal, who for many women is the perfect boyfriend
(minus the blood sucking vampire part).
6: He can sing (swoon) really well. (You had “Never Think” on repeat! Admit it!)
5: He has the ability to look like this with a cigarette in his mouth.
4: He managed to turn the words “spider monkey” into a term of endearment. He can call me
spider monkey any day.
3: His hair. Whether it’s short, long, unruly, or perfectly styled, he has FANTASTIC hair.
2: He is so awkward and seemingly shy during all of his interviews that you just want to sit him
down, give him a hug and say, “It’s going to be alright. The camera won’t eat you.” That awkwardness/goofiness makes him so endearing. It’s part of his charm.
(DRUM ROLL PLEASE)
1. I know Robert is here to stay, which means I have something to occupy my time for years
to come. With his upcoming projects and the rest of the flicks from the “Twilight” saga coming
out in theaters, I won’t have time to twiddle my thumbs. Crushing on RPattz is like the Best.
Hobby. Ever!
I challenge you fellow Robert Pattinson lovers out there to add to this list, or make a list of
your own. Share them here!
* PHOTO GALLERY: Twilight Star Joins Sage & the Dills On Stage
Sage & the Dills (MySpace, natch) took the stage at Hollywood's Hotel Cafe on Tuesday night
with a very special guest: Twilight's Nikki Reed. Sage, the lead singer of the band, is best buds
with the actress, who arrived in a purple beanie and dark jeans. And just because she's in the
movies doesn't mean she gets any special treatment from her friends. The band put her to work
loading equipment onto the stage and setting up the drums.
Reed even took the stage for a couple of songs, playing tambourine on "Go and Tell Your
Mother," and lending some very pretty backup vocals to a track or two. "This used to be my
best friend Nikki's favorite," Sage said while introducing one song. "I'm dedicating this to her."
Reed, who hung back in the corner of the stage as she sang along, seemed a little shy about
her vocals. "Please, turn this mic off," she laughed to the sound tech after she was on stage for
a few minutes. While her stage-mates downed beer and wine, Reed stuck to bottled water, and
watched most of the show from behind the backstage curtains. Sage gave her a hard time for
hiding, joking, "I'm talking to the Wizard of Oz back there!"
"Nikki did my hair and makeup before every show when we were growing up," Sage told
RadarOnline.com after the concert. "She still does my hair and makeup." The two are longtime
friends, and Sage often refers to Nikki as "my sister." So can we expect the bffs to make music
together in the future? While Sage says they've never written songs with one another, we
wouldn't rule it out -- especially after witnessing Reed's tambourine skills!
* Peter Facinelli participates in Plates for Parkinson’s
Peter Facinelli Participates in Plates for Parkinson's R eBay Auction

On November 20, 2009 Twilight fans will get their on screen fill of their favorite
werewolves and some of their favorite vampires in the upcoming sequel, New Moon.
Blood thirsty Twi-Hards will be taken on a new adventure with the Quileute tribe.
And even though the Cullen clan is not the focus of New Moon, it doesn't mean you will
not be seeing them in parts of the latest film. OnTheRedCarpet.com spoke with three of
the irresistible vampires to get their take on New Moon, and the inside scoop on some of
the characters.
Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlyle Cullen) says there will be a lot of eye candy for the female
viewers to sink their teeth into this time around.
"The werewolves have taken over Vancouver. You have all of these new cast members
who are really buff, good looking Native American guys. They are running around
everywhere," said Peter.
Most of Twilight was shot in Oregon and Washington. In New Moon the cast and crew
found themselves in a new location with a new director. The production was taken to
Vancouver, Canada and Chris Weitz was handed the keys to the new Twilight universe.
Many fans feared that the male director might not be able to connect with the whirlwind
romance between Bella and Edward, but cast members say Chris gets it.
"New Moon is going to be fantastic. Chris Weitz knows what he is doing and what he is
looking for. He is an actor's director. I have seen parts of it already and people will be very
happy," said Edi Gathegi, Laurent.
Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) compares the production of New Moon to a well-oiled machine.
He says that the cast and crew had a great time working on the film.
"Nothing on New Moon has been crazy. For the actors it has been easy. We got to try
new things with our characters which was great. I have to say that I like the New Moon
screenplay better than Twilight. And it was really cool to see how Rob was incorporated
into the screenplay," said Kellan.
The actors also got to try new stunts. Kellan said jokingly that his biggest stunt of New
Moon was picking up Kristen Stewart (Bella). He made sure to say at the end of the
interview that she is the lightest girl he has ever held and that she made his job easy on
the Vancouver set.
* Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Go on Dinner Date for His 23rd Bday
Robert Pattinson celebrated his 23rd birthday with his favorite leading lady, Twilight costar
Kristen Stewart.
Pattinson and Stewart, 19, arrived at Vancouver’s Global Grill and Satay Bar with his parents
on Wednesday at 9:15 p.m., Usmagazine.com confirms.
“Robert’s parents were all smiles,” a source tells Us. “They were kind of quiet but very
gracious and polite. You could easily see where Robert got his reserved demeanor from.”
The birthday celebration was also attended by his New Moon costars Ashley Greene and
Jamie Bower.
The group — sitting in a private booth upstairs — ordered Kobe beef meatballs and lamb
and steak satays. After dinner, Pattinson and Stewart retreated to the adjoining Afterglow
lounge where he drank beer and she sipped champagne.
“Robert and Kristin are a very, very smart couple,” the source tells Us. “They’re friendly
and playful but never affectionate in public. Never. Never any hugs or kisses. It’s just not
their style.”
The source adds that the location of his dinner was soon posted on Twitter, and by
11 p.m., the place was flooded with fans. At 12:30 a.m., one of the managers escorted
them downstairs so they could leave.
* Rob Pattinson Celebrates Birthday with Twilight Cast
Robert Pattinson's Twilight character, Edward, may remain a perpetual teenager – but
the actor celebrated turning 23 on Wednesday.
The star was joined by several of his New Moon castmates, including leading lady Kristen
Stewart, Ashley Greene and Jamie Campbell Bower at The Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in
Vancouver where they are filming.
Pattinson and his pals were treated to champagne cocktails in the the V.I.P. section of
the restaurant. They ordered rounds of shooters and feasted on Kobe beef meatballs,
lamb, steak, salads and roasted vegetables.
"Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal and had a good appetite," said a source. But it's
wasn't just a cozy night with friends. Pattison's location was posted on Twitter, and soon
hoards of fans descended on the restaurant trying to get pictures and autographs.
"There was a lot of buzz and energy in the restaurant," said the source. "Being in the
same restaurant as Rob Pattinson for his birthday is great."
A fan told PEOPLE: "I was so happy to see Rob and help him celebrate his 23rd birthday.
He took the time to meet us and take a picture with us, that was so cool."
After dinner, a platter of desserts was taken to the table where guests could choose
between cheesecake, créme brulee, warm chocolate coffee cake and white chocolate
mousse. Later, the group made their way to Afterglow, a small bar attached to the
restaurant where they had drinks, talked and listened to music until close to 1 a.m.
* Spanish Actor Javier Beltran Says "Little Ashes" Costar Rob Pattinson is a "Good" Kisser
He’s only 25, but Spanish actor Javier Beltran is already being compared to the likes of
Antonio Banderas—and making out with Twilight heartthrob Rob Pattinson. Now in his first
major feature film, Little Ashes, which opened on May 8, Beltran stars as legendary Spanish
writer Federico Garcia Lorca. The actor talked to us about playing a Spanish legend, why he
thinks people compare him to Banderas and what it was like sharing hot make-out sessions
with Edward Cullen himself.
What is your film, Little Ashes, about?
It is the story of two geniuses, Federico Garcia Lorca and Salvador Dalí, who share their
lives, their art and their way of seeing the world.
Why should people go see this movie?
Lorca and Dalí were two historical geniuses, and to be able to know their relationship would
be interesting for anyone. The important thing is that they make a connection because they
were very different and they had different ways of thinking, and this is the main issue of
the film.
What was most unique about Dalí’s relationship with Lorca?
What I find very interesting is that at a predetermined period in history, in Spain, two
geniuses— Lorca and Dalí—became friends and shared their lives. They influenced each
other greatly. Lorca would write a play and Dalí would produce the designs.
People can’t stop talking about the sex scenes you share with your costar, Twilight
heartthrob Rob Pattinson. Were they difficult to do?
No. It was not uncomfortable. The hard part was to transmit the emotions of my character.
That was the challenge. But the scenes came out really well. I am very proud of this film. I
would love for people to see this movie, because it’s a very good movie.
Millions of girls want to know what it feels like to make out with Rob Pattinson—tell us, is
he a good kisser?
(Laughs). He’s okay. He’s good.
A lot of people are calling this a “gay” film. Do you agree that it is?
It’s not just that. But I like that people are talking about the movie. I also think that
Rob’s success with Twilight will make people see this movie, and if they want to see Rob,
that’s great, because they’ll see the film too. He does a splendid and wonderful job as Dalí.
This film is entirely in English, but your first language is Spanish. Was it difficult to learn the
English necessary to play the part?
I studied for two months with a coach. Each day, I spent many hours studying. I spoke
English before the film, but I still had to study to make this movie.
Did you feel a lot of pressure—since you’re a Spaniard—to portray Lorca accurately and
make your fellow Spaniards proud?
Yes. It’s a responsibility. He’s not just any character; he’s one of the best Spain has ever
had, and he was an incredible man. But the same time, it was a pleasure. I'm very excited
for the Spanish premiere of the film. I'm interested in the response of the Spanish audience,
and I hope they’ll enjoy it.
Why do you think some people are comparing you to Antonio Banderas?
Because I'm Spanish! It's very pleasant to me to be compared with him. He is a great actor
with an astonishing career and he has done a lot for Spanish actors around the world. In
Spain, he made very good films!
Now that he's conquered the box office with Wolverine, Jackman is set to star in the
19th-century drama Unbound Captives with Twilight's Robert Pattinson. "He's a really
great actor and a really good guy," said Jackman. "His role is phenomenal and it's going
to be really amazing stuff."
And what does he think about Pattinson's famous hair? "I'm not an aficionado of hair, but
his looks great."
