Parallel Universe: Twilight's 'Eclipse' Greenlit for August

With filming on "New Moon" wrapped and ready for a fall release, the studio preps the next chapter

Summit Entertainment will begin production on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on Aug. 17 until Oct. 31 at Vancouver Film Studios, reports ComingSoon.net.

This means that not only will fans start to hear buzz and see leaked photos of their favorite supernatural heroes on set, but once Halloween rolls around, most likely there will be tons of Edward and Jacob wannabes dressed up. And, just a few weeks later, "New Moon" will hit theaters.

Twilight overload.

As a reminder, "Eclipse" is the third installment of the angsty supernatural love story. This time around, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) are dealing with a massive number of mysterious killings in the Seattle area that may be caused by newborn vampires. As if this weren't enough, Bella has both vampire Edward and werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner) tearing her emotionally in two. Oh, and she's about to graduate too.

David Slade ("30 Days of Night") will direct from a script by Melissa Rosenberg ("Dexter").

"Eclipse" won't be released until June 2010, but in the meantime, "New Moon" will wax romantic in theaters on Nov. 20.

Two of Robert Pattinson’s films that have not yet been released in the US have now been given release dates.
Little Ashes is available now for pre-order from Amazon UK. The official release dates is July 13, 2009 (so, less than two weeks). For those of you in the states, I have made a purchase from Amazon UK and you just have to pay for international shipping.
The Haunted Airman has a tentative release date of October 13, 2009. It is not yet available for pre-order.

i got to the alice in wonderland statue around 1 in the afternoon and just tourists were there. no sign of trailers, paparazzi or crazy fangirls in the surrounding area leads me to believe that they were finished shooting there. no distinctive locations in the july 2 pictures circling the web as of this post.

i did find these signs still up in the area. I'm fairly certain these are the permits for Remember Me. apparently "Wikal Productions" is a pseudonym for Summit, and note the seemingly deliberate not giving the name what is being filmed (even when Spider-Man 3 was being filmed near where I worked at the time, the permits had the Spider-Man logo on it).

so i guess just try to feel the Robert Pattinson vibes - he was working here about 24 hours earlier! do you feel the vibes?

Here are some new pics of New Moon stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, who are currently working on the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways together after a stint on New Moon. Also, here’s a pic of the whole gang getting into a car!
I have it on good word from a couple of tips sent from people on-set that the duo of Kristen and Dakota have filmed an intense lesbian makeout scene for the movie. Just wait till the mainstream press gets their claws on that one!

You do not F with Chuck Norris. Unless, of course you are Robert Pattinson–New Moon actor Michael Welch starred with Norris on an episode of Texas Walker Ranger, so he’s qualified to decide: Chuck Norris or Robert Pattison?

Who smells better? “Robert Pattinson…he smells like heaven.”
Who has a better beard? “You gotta go Chuck Norris with the beard. Nothing beats that thing.”
Who looks better in tight jeans? “That becomes a matter of taste at that point because you can’t beat Walker in a tight pair of pants, but Rob… I guess I gotta go with Rob [laughs].”

New Moon hunk Kelllan Lutz has a new photoshoot for Social Life Magazine, for which he’ll be hosting a July 4th Party. OK Magazine has a new interview with Kellan along with some new pics from the shoot–

What is your typical day like on the set of New Moon, the sequel to Twilight?
New Moon was a very relaxed film to work on and it all starts with how easy going director Chris Wietz is. That vibe rolls down to the crew and actors. It makes it so easy when we’ve all worked together before. Everything was so well organized, making it easy for the actors to do our job. We had more time to just laugh and make jokes and hang out; it’s important to have a cast that gels the way we do and you’ll see that more in the second film.
The entire cast of Twilight and New Moon has gone from Hollywood new faces to overnight international sensations – has that been a bonding experience for all of you?
It’s amazing what Twilight has done for the cast! It has opened up so many doors for us all. It is such a blessing to be a part of the phenomenon that is Twilight. It’s a dream come true! We are all very close and stay close on set as well as off. We play board games, go out to dinner and just hang out. It’s amazing to be able to work with such a talented group of actors.

Ashley Greene waves to paparazzi as she leaves her apartment in Los Angeles on
Thursday afternoon (July 2).

The 22-year-old Twilight starlet, in an Endless Sunsets tee, looks to be heading out
for vacation with pup Marlow. Ashley was also seen walking Marlow around the
neighborhood yesterday afternoon (July 1).

Miss Greene recently dished to the Examiner about what she considers beautiful. She
shared, “I think a lot of what makes someone beautiful is how a person presents
themselves. I was talking to someone the other day about how I find French woman
so beautiful… it’s something they possess inherently. I feel like when someone has a
zest for life they come off vibrant and beautiful.”

* Taylor Lautner Is Losing The Ladies To Robert Pattinson



Poor Taylor Lautner, not only does he lose Bella to Edward in Twilight, but it seems
that he lost rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez to Robert Pattinson too.

A source tell the National Enquirer that Selena would even hang out with him unless
he was single, so he dumped his high school girlfriend, Sara Hicks, just to get to Selena.
Then after a few months of dating, Selena admitted that she had a thing for RPattz
and asked Taylor to "put in a good word for her."

Ever since, Taylor has reportedly been branded "despearte and dateless", while RPattz
has the ladies continuously attacking him. You know, I understand the whole "OMG!
I WANT A VAMPIRE!" thing, but maybe someone should try the shapeshifter out. And
yes, Jacob Black is a shapeshifter, not a werewolf.

Maybe once Selena and Robert get together, Taylor can date their daughter.
Anybody? I personally blame Selena Gomez for all this trouble. Such a Bella thing to do,
tell one guy you love him, then go date the one all the girls are after.
