My dad started his park service career at Manassas Battlefied, but moved on other, non-Civil War parks during the course of his career (although he did work for a time with the National Capital Parks); toward the end of his career, he worked as an interpretive designer at the Harpers Ferry design center - he worked on the interpretive perspectises for parks such as Vicksburg, Stones River, Monocacy, Antietam, and (ironically enough) Manassas! He also did perspecties for non-Civil War Parks; Dayton Aviation Heritage was the last park he worked on before retiring.
I used to do reenacting, but I got out of it.
I understand you not wanting to give out your location (or other info) on line; the only thing I'd ask is if the park you're at from the Eastern or western theater of the war? You don't have to answer that, if you don't want to!

Hey! I noticed that you list your occupation (one of them) as a park ranger - that and it looks like you're wearing a kepi or forage cap in your AD crew sig. Which park are you with? I live in the eastern panhandle of WV, near Harpers Ferry and Antietam Battlefield. Civil War is kinda one of my things. Plus my dad's retired park service!
