R.I.P Veronica.
Yes, its true kids. The CW cancelled Veronica Mars and opted for the ever so original 'Search for the Next Pussycat Doll 2".
Seriously, like they need another freaking doll! That network can eat my shorts. I think I'm one of the few people out there who has loved Season 3, despite its flaws I've really enjoyed it, and Season 2 had a heck of a lot more flaws if you ask me. However, it was The CW who fucked around with the show. First it was 'Stop the season long mystery arcs'. Then they put it on TWO 2 month hiatuses that made it lose it's momentum. Then, they make the show have a smaller mystery arc, then standalone episodes. Even though I'm enjoying the standalones, I still blame The CW for fucking around with VM.
Then, since January, the show has been rumoured to be cancelled. Why couldn't they have saved us all the mysery and just tell us then? But no, instead we got "Its cancelled, its not cancelled...its cancelled again..." before a glimmer of hope with Veronica returning with (shock) yet ANOTHER new format this time 4 years later in the FBI. Only to be disappointed yet again as it finished this time with a final 'It's Cancelled."
Dawn Ostroff can go fuck herself. The CW's new line up sucks major ass. Their new shows Reaper (looks like a copycat of Supernatural *yay originality*) and Gossip Girl looks like a poor attempt to gain the Gilmore Girl and Veronica Mars audience (Just because Kristen Bell is narrating the series doesn't make me like you any more...I'll download it...How dare they bargain with me) Then they continue with lackluster shows in quality like Smallville which probably only has 1 year left in the tank...and then theres One Tree Hill, with also probably only 1 year left in the tank which looks to be next on the chopping block. Did I mention they brought back Beauty and The Geek?
Thats right...The end of VM is the end of good television. I am now left without 2 of my favourite shows Gilmore and Veronica, thanks to this shoddy so-called-network The C-Dub.
They cancelled VM cos they wanted more ratings and didn't give a toss about quality cos their lineup seriously lacks quality and originality. It's just like Arrested Development all over again!

Well, I hope their new shows shake in their boots. If they rate low, I for one, will be laughing. Here's to an extremely crappy 07-08 season CW.

"So, savor every last second of the last two episodes. Every quip, every venetian blind shadow cast in the background, every Keith/Veronica moment, every Logan Echolls brooding puppy dog look, every everything. Because this is it kids."
Veronica Mars was one of those type of shows, and it wasn't even a WB show, but somehow made it on to UPN, which was only ever on our radar so that we could curse the perenially underperforming Enterprise. But Rob Thomas had an specific universe that he wanted his teenage girl detective (see how cheesy those words sound?) to inhabit, and Kristen Bell led a cast that played that world out to a T, which was why it really felt like a WB show. And was a natural to go to the WB's postdecessor (new word!), The CW.
So Veronica had an all-time-great first season, a not-as-great second season, and a pretty good third season. But nobody could get past the premise and it never caught on beyond its cult. And, today, it was finally and officially canceled.
Ironically, this officially makes the CW more of a successor to UPN than the WB — a network that we can pretty much ignore.
At least VM ended while still at a creative high. The last few eps have been extremely promising and I highly anticipate the finale. I will cherish the last 2 new eps and eagerly await S3 on DVD. Long live Veronica, on DVD
