Leona Lewis has been crowned winner of TV talent show X Factor, landing a £1m recording contract. The 21-year-old from London - the first female to win the ITV show - beat 18-year-old Ray Quinn.
She said "it was a dream come true" as she broke down in tears at the news she had won the public vote.
Leona will now release a version of the song A Moment Like This, which was first recorded by American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.
The single goes on sale in the shops on Wednesday and is tipped among the favourites to secure the Christmas number one.
During the live final Leona was joined on stage by Take That to sing their hit A Million Love Songs, as well as singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You.
Ray was joined by Westlife on stage


Liverpudlian Ray sang with Westlife on the cover version of That's Life, and also belted out classics Fly Me to the Moon and My Way.
On Leona's win, mentor and judge Simon Cowell said "he was the proudest person in the world right now".
Leona had been the bookmakers' favourite to win for many weeks, but Ray had been closing in fast.
Thousands of hopefuls entered the competition hoping to make it to the last stages and the chance to sing live in front of millions of viewers.
Last year's winner was Shayne Ward, who went on to have the Christmas number one. The show's first winner, Steve Brookstein, lost his recording contract after falling out of favour with Cowell.

i'm glad leona won. i liked them both. i would have been pleased if ray won.. but he's still going to go places anyways, so it's all good.

gutted well.. i was lasy night up till about.. hmm.. 2 oclock today?

erm.. I'll copy this from my post in the hangout..

i went to see Eton Road in concert today (the fit boyband in my sig a few weeks ago) and after it me and my little sister decided to wait around the back.. there was loads of people though so i just thought we'd get to see them,

Anyway.. news comes that theyve gone round the front so we ran round in time to see danny going (waving out the window!) and my sister says "lets go back around to see if any of the others are out there" and i was like no they'll have gone. But we went around the back anyway, and Anthony (THE ONE IM IN LOVE WITH) was just pulling away so i ran after the car and watched it go up this road but then it turned around, and i was like and everyone else went apart from me, my sister and these three girls! and ant comes back round the corner and blew a kiss to me! and i was like MY LIFE IS COMPLETE! haha

but then his car stopped so me and the other 3 girls ran up to it and he wound the window down and i stuck my hand in and he grabbed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then they were all giving him kisses and he went to me "kisses?" and kissed me on the cheek and gave me a hug (through a car window yes!) and he kept holding my hand and i was on the verge of DYING! and so i went i love you to him and he went "i love you to, i love you, i love you" and so i was even more and then he gave me another kiss on the cheek (STILL HOLDING MY BLOODY HAND!!) and i hugged him.

But then his driver went so i was sad,, but we ran after his car again and this time it was just the two of us and he was waving and blowing kisses, then he went across the road and everyone else came. And he was doign peace signs out the window.

I really do love him and ive never been so happy in my life!!
