Tonight was one of the best finales ever (Season 4 being the best). Simon was right on with everything. Yeah, David Cook is great, but Archuleta is steps ahead of him. David A really delivered a solid performance. David Cook was pitchy and boring and his last song was not well-chosen. It's anyone's game, but David Archuleta should be the winner based on tonight's performances.

I'm so sad that I only have two more hours of Idol until January. Until the Idol's tour! Yeah, bitches!!

Oh and by the way, did anybody notice something with the end of David's song "Imagine" ? Perhaps something between his performance and the playback clip? In his actual performance he made no mistakes at the end, but in the playback clip in the show recap, they showed him with an out of tune note at the end. The clip was from the rehearsal. I'll point it out to you if it goes up on YouTube, but if you Tivo'd the show, go watch it. This isn't the first time Idol did this. They did it with David and Michael Johns earlier in the season. I think during the Top 9.

Just so things are even, David Cook was treated to a extremely off-key rehearsal clip for the playback too.

Archuleta did have a better night than Cook.

But out of the two, Cook is the star.

First one. Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. David was off-key in a place where he was not in the final performance. He actually was never all the way off-key in that song, he was just a bit pitchy.
