I guarantee this show will last for at least another 3 seasons. It's like the biggest show ever. Simon said he going to resign after the 10th season and I'm pretty sure it will end after that. I know that I won't watch the show if Simon is not on it. Or really any of the judges.

well im just saying there is a lack of talented people. im sure it will continue but i think the number of sales of the winning person are definatly decreasing. like jordin's sales compared to kelly's. c'mon. even the ratings are down/continuing to go down (with the exception of the finale)

But I mean, it you look a Daughtrys sales, wow! I know he wasn't the winner, but a lot of successful people can come out of the show.

Hi, Really with shows like X-Factor and AI they should only be on every 2 years to give people time to change and forget about the shows, with them on all the time and you know they will OWN the charts during December and then the following one as well, it kinda gets a bit boring and pointless.

Its all controlled anyways SONY-BMG have so much power over the TV channels here and the radio that their artists are guaranteed airtime, and they make so much money from all the phone ins and the UK ones are fixed, if when it got down to the FINAL TWO they had EQUAL share of the PHONE LINES, AKA in the UK if there was 1000 phone lines available to call, 70% could be on ONE act and 30 on the other, so making it much harder to vote for one act, they DID get caught doing that, if it was FAIR then it would be better. Also if it was SET that each phone line could only make say FOUR CALLS (IE 2 parents 2 kids, average family) instead of trying to vote more and more, for them to MAKE MONEY then it might be fairer too.

The shows are BOTH "MADE FOR TV" and are highly edited, but I do think AI is more fair as it doesnt pit judges against each other like XFactor as thats NOT just about finding an IDOL its about the Judges competing to WIN AGAINST each other. :/ so they VOTE against each other instead of supporting who could be the better singer.

lack of talent? jordin, carrie, kelly and all the winners were very talented and there are some other amazing singers on the show
i can see it lasting for a long time

Exactly, he's been successful even overseas..that is a HUGE accomplishment, Carrie Underwood has also been very successful so Kelly isn't the only successful one..the people from season 2 and 3 have pretty much dissapeared in terms of out of the US though. And Jordin's album......cliche pop crap, she has a great voice she could've done better. I think Mandisa has been doing well, anyone hear a fan of MANDIVAAA?

and Jennifer Hudson, who got out at like 6th place, won an Oscar! so I mean, talent defiently comes out of the show.
