Michael Johns should not have gone home on american idol. It should have been Kristy Lee Cook or Syesha Mercado. This is where American Idol sucks. Michael has actual talent, kristy is just pretty. Grrrr Im so angry right now.

I've only seen like 3 or 4 episodes this season, and I agree about Kristy, she's terrible and I really can't stand her.

But. Michael Johns was really effing boring. He added NOTHING to either of the Beatles songs he did, and he did Queen *alright.* He was a glorified karaoke singer. He'd be amazing as the lead singer of a cover band at a bar, but he never showed a personality of his own that I saw.

He did have a nice accent though.

Awww I didn't knew about this, I didn't saw the episode I totally agree with you, I never liked kristy lee cook since the 1st week and Syesha is kinda mediocre

I gotta say I was a little dissapointed by Michael Johns after hollywood week but I still liked him, and he did great this week with dream on.
Come on how long will kristy stay?? enough already

... I might get flamed.. but I watched Idol Gives Back the other night and at the end when the idols were singing together as a choir, I heard one guy who sounded off with the rest.. I couldn't tell who it was, but I believe it was Michael Johns. The girls sang perfectly, but the guys sounded very pitchy, especially one guy and he stood out completely. It was definitely Johns. Omg, and Miley Cyrus.. She's adorable, but her performance was atrocious. I dunno how Simon could tolerate it lol. I like that song.. but my goodness... live was so terrible beyond my ears!!

I don't really watch American Idols much, but I saw his performance of "Dream On" and I really respected his performance and especially Paula backing him up, but I didn't like him. He sounded like another Daughtry to me. And I don't like Daughtry either. He can't sing live at all even though his songs are good on the album.

It seems a lot of people aren't a fan of Christy Lee Cook.. I watched a few Idol episodes this year and I liked this one country song she did. She was sooo much better than all the other contestants that went before and after her. But I haven't seen the whole season to really base a good opinion or judgment on her.

Don't get me wrong, Johns probably isn't that bad either. But I really don't like his voice. Even if it was someone else besides him who got eliminated, I still wouldn't consider him as an "American Idol".. his voice just doesn't seem unique to me. It's similar to Daughtry. And we already have one of those.

But Simon and Randy were a bit harsh. How can they say it's "not" the right song and isn't suitable for him? He sang a song he really liked. You can't make a person sing something that isn't them. At least he sang from his heart. God. I sometimes hate their opinions.

I think this country needs a voice like Leona Lewis. THAT'S what I call an Idol.

Michael Johns was my favorite contestant. KLC has been in the bottom 3 so many times but somehow manages to escape. Syesha has had only ONE decent performance ('Yesterday').

The whole American Idol thing is SO played out. For that I'm glad I don't live in America.
