Just to make it clear, I am NOT talking about the 2006 remake which I heard was an utter pile of shit. I won't even let myself watch it and ruin the original, so we shall not discuss the 2006 version, okay?
Anyways. I know I change my mind like everyday about what my favorite movie is, but now I am pretty sure this is my favorite movie in the entire universe. It was just...spectacular. Incredible. Amazing. Indescribable. I could watch it every single day of my life and find a new scene to discuss. There is pretty much something for everyone in this movie-it's almost part musical, but with a mix of horror and mystery as well. It has alot to do with religion though, but it won't bore you. It takes place on an island in Scotland, and the scenery is just incredibly beautiful. And I have a thing for accents, so the Scottish ones in this were really fantastic to hear haha. Oh, and boys, I think you will enjoy this too because Britt Ekland appears completely naked in this, during a rather erotic singing ritual scene...It was pretty hot, and this is coming from a girl hahah.
But anyways. I know alot of people have never seen this, or even heard of it. But this is one movie I think everyone needs to see. It's just that incredible.
Okay. Enough rambling for me today haha...

Remakes piss me off. The only one I can say is better than the original is The Hills Have Eyes. The original was hilarious, although I don't think it was intended to be...
But I hate that they are remaking all of my favorites. If anyone ever remakes Silence of the Lambs, there will be hell to pay.

The original form of the film ain't ment to exist...I know the version put out is the cutdown US one that had been a 'b' feature in its day or something like that...
The fact Christopher Lee touts it as his best film should give it more than most merits...and Edward Woodward plays his role brilliantly...tis a pity he's more famous for his TV roles than this really.
You have to admit the music sections of it are very weird...but films of that time often did things like that.
I reckon they could remake SOL...but do the reverse and make it more in the Manhunter style as opposed to the way they remade Manhunter with Red Dragon going for the gothic dungeon for Lecter.
Yo, I am bringing this thread back and telling everyone on here to see this haha. If I could, I would totally buy every Bandaider the DVD for Christmas, it's that good. I really do think this is the one movie everyone should see once.

Yes i've seen it a few year ago. It came on after something else I was watching and at first I wasnt paying attention but I ended up watching the whole film.
I haven't seen the Wicker Man in ages but I first saw it when I was like 5 or 6. Christopher Lee was just spectacular and creepy in this film and I'll never forget the ending when they put the detective in the Wicker Man and set it on fire and their singing a real cheery song while this guy and a bunch of animals are burning. Plus this was the first movie I remember seeing with nudity so I'll never forget that bizzare scene where the naked women are dancing and jumping over the fire.

Wow, you saw it at 5/6!? Haha. I wouldn't know what the hell I was seeing if I saw it then...
But the first time I ever saw it the ending just stunned me. I wasn't expecting that, although I probably should've saw it coming...But the fact that everyone was so happy when they were burning him....that was just creepy, man. Those naked chicks jumping over the fire were pretty odd too haha. Oh, and you can't forget Willow's Song
