I cannot wait to see it. It was filmed in Chicago so my boyfriend and I would always go searching for them filming.
I don't know if this will be his last movie or not because he was filming one when he died. So who knows what they will do with that footage.

For that one, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, there are rumours that they've given Heath's role to Johnny Depp. I think that's almost a kind of touching tribute that the most fitting actor to fill in for him is Johnny friggin' Depp.
There's also been speculation on whether or not Heath was COMPLETELY finished everything on Dark Knight. Like all the filming was done, but they usually have to go and re-record audio of some lines that aren't clear in the footage and then dub them over top. No one knows/is saying whether Heath was done all that for his role, but the trailer sounds amazing... but if he wasn't, they'll either have to patch together something from other takes/footage/whatever or hire a voice actor to emulate his voice, which is what they had to do for the same reason for James Dean back in 1956 when he died before finishing all his work on Giant.

^^apparently he was also starting to work on his directing debut, in a movie he would've also co-starred in... and the starring role was offered to Ellen Page.
That would've been such an incredible movie.
Aaaaand I would've LOVED one of these posters: The Dark Knight Photos in my room but it would creep me out way too much to look at now...
And yeah. The WHOLE ad campaign they had going was that ^ and other Joker stuff... would seem so wrong to continue that now.
Have you read what Christopher Nolan (Dark Knight director) wrote about Heath in Newsweek? It's so touching... Charisma as Natural as Gravity | Newsweek Periscope | Newsweek.com

Yeah. I think it was gonna be a huge movie to begin with, just because 1) it's a Batman movie and 2) there was SO much talk when it was announced he was gonna play the Joker to begin with... so many loyal Batman fans said he was gonna fuck it up, but I think a lot of that worry was dispelled with the first teaser trailer when you could just hear his voice and HOLY CRAP did it sound amazing.
But now that it's his last completed role, there will be people who'll see it just for that.
I'm actually curious about reviews. I know he'll be amazing in it, I knew that before he died... but a lot of people thought he wasn't right for the role at all. I just wonder if anyone will have the balls to badmouth him if they don't like what he did?
Also, on the IMDb messageboards for The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, there is talk that the director wants to leave in the footage that Heath did finish, and when he falls through the magic mirror he'll become Johnny Depp, or something. Apparently his character looks like Depp. And he wants the Heath footage left in there as a tribute to him instead of scrapping or shelving it.
Even if that doesn't work out, how much do you wanna bet that a bonus feature on the eventual Dr. Parnassus DVD is a few scenes with Heath?

^oh..i think it's amazing idea to do that with Johnny Depp...
i don't think that only in Dr.Parnassus they are gonna have deleted scenes of Heath...
i have see the trailer of Batman and Heath is freaking amazing!!!if i remember right Joker was Jim Carrey in the previous Batman..and as i can see i think that Heath is much better than Jim...
also at Batman DVD they must put a tribute to Heath..it was his last movie....and that's right for him...

No, Jim Carrey played The Riddler in Batman Forever. The Joker was played by Jack Nicholson in Batman, directed by Tim Burton in 1989.
He scarred me for life, I swear. After I saw that movie (it came out when I was 4... I probably didn't see it til I was 6-7 though) I was TERRIFIED he was going to pop out in my basement and gas me like he did the people in the restaurant.
I don't know if I can say Heath will be better than Jack Nicholson... because it's Jack friggin' Nicholson. But also because the way they've approached the characters is so completely different. Heath Ledger's Joker is just completely and unsettlingly psychotic. Jack Nicholson was more calculating and devious super-criminal. I think Heath's character might be more intense...
Jack Nicholson was pretty pissed off that he was even playing The Joker. Well not specifically that it was Heath so much as it was someone who wasn't him. He totally doesn't get that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are a totally new take on the Batman franchise and have little if anything to do with HIS Batman movie.
