i dont noe if this a stupid question but im just curious..i dont noe much about canada....
some parts of canada the people speak english and some parts they speak french......y is dat

haha that was a question on my exam today...well it's because the british and the french BOTH were sort of vying for north american....the USA gained it's independence, but as you know Canada is still ruled by England (in a sense). Anyways, England won over France, but there were still frenchmen and all the loyalists etc...etc...it's all historical crap, but in the end there was a treaty signed to let French be an official language aswell because there was such a huge population of French living in Canada.....ya. lol. That's the simple explanation...i'm not going to get into names of the treaties etc....lol.

cuz it's different countires i also think it has to do with far back when the british was like us like before independence and stuff, ok i may be totalyl wrong cuz i dont pay attention at stuff like that or i'm jsut stupid but i think it has to do with that.

haha, guys thats nothin...
here in switzerland we speak 4 different languages..
north->german, west->french, south->italian, east->rumantsch
i' live in the german-speak part but i also speak french.. and english of course

no there are 4 official languages!!
but people speak a lot more languages that this official four..(english, turkish, yugoslavian...and so on..)

no... not everyone speaks every language.. haha
but there are ppl that speak up to 4-5 languages, maybe some speak 8... i dunno, haha
yeah and swiss german is also different to "normal" german.. so another language... so yeah were quite multi-lingual here..
