riaa sueing downloaders
i think it's all bullshit that they are sueing the users that download music. i want to fight it so bad. it's just the same as me letting my friend burn or copy a cd i have. it's sharing music, i dont see how it's illegal. i think there is some ways around this, like maybe the programs have a list of what songs are on what cd and the user can only download 3 songs, from that list, or only have the songs for a period of time. there's got to be some compromise, or middle ground that can be reached.
i haven't bought a cd for a long time, not because i download instead, but because i have no money.
what do you all think about the sueing of users?
do you think the lower cd prices will get more cds bought?
any suggestions of ways to make this whole situation better?
maybe if we all voice our opinions to the riaa, something can be done.

hmmm..its really hard to reach a decision. For me, I d/l alot of great bands and people send songs and stuff. And if I like the song then I'll go buy the record. If the band is a bunch of assholes but i like a song, i'm not gonna give them my money by buying a cd.
So for me personally, i think d/ling is a good thing, b/c I d/l the myusic but then go buy the album. Some people who just d/l thousands of songs and never buy an album, well thats a pisser. I don't think that they will ever get rid of d/ling music, b/c kids will always be able to send to other kids. They just have to make buying an album more appealing. Lower prices is a really good idea. Here in Canada for example, I went to buy Placebo's new album, and it was regular 25 on for 18. I would never have payed 25 and even 18 felt like too much for 12 songs. But I respect the group and the album so i bought it. But so many cds r like $25 and $30 its Nuts. I would buy so many cds if they were like 10. I'd go flat broke ahah.
k im done

if i like a band, ill download some of their music but i will always support them by going out and buying their cd.
i heard today that the riaa just sued a 12 year old girl for downloading music....like just when u thought corperate america was bad enuff...they always find a way to one up themselves dont they?
those record company executives are wiping their ass's with 20 dollar bills, yet they cant stand to have kids who work part time jobs just to have enuff money to buy ONE of their major artists cds, download a few other songs they heard on the radio while on their way to another delightful shift at mcdonalds.
its sick really...

Hey today I noticed in kazaa, in preferences there's a box that you can check that says, "Block bad IP ranges (eg. RIAA)" Does that mean that you can block the RIAA tracking you?!
