theres no reason wed yell at you cause its an ok question. today i believe at my school the principle will come on the speaker at the correct time, like 7:48 or close to that central time, and will ask for a moment of silence. thats all i think we're gonna do for it.

I'm pretty sure that we'll have a moment of silence at school....well, we had one last year so I'm assuming we'll have another.

Hmm..don't go to school, I dunno..lol. But on the radio this morning at about 5:48 (Yes...I was awake then) they replayed a bunch of stuff that they had on the air on 9-11-01. Like, they're reactions as they were watching it on the tv in the studio and stuff.

i just got hjome from school. i live in the suburbs of NYC, about 40 minutes away from new york and 9/11 really hit us hard..Theres not 1 person around here that doesnt know someone who died. at school today people barely even reconized it was 9/11. We had the moment of silence at 8:47 and that was it we talked about it for like 5 minutes in english but nothin else and i dont think its right theres SO many kids in my school thats lost parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc. and its seemed like nothing was done

Fro a canadian point of view, it doesn't really seem like much was done afterwords. Know what I mean. Its really surreal to think about it, hard to realize that it did really happen. A moment of silence doesn't really seem like alot. But there isn't really much else you can do. Its just weird to think about.

yeah i know what u guys ean about being far away from it..its just weird that so many people around the world kinda forgot it was 9/11...and i totally understand why i mean its not like u guys were exposed to it every day since 9/11...its in our faces like 24/7..did u know that 343 firemen died that day and the last funeral of the last fireman was only this past monday? 2 years later...thats so sd...the family was waiting to find anything of his remains but they dnt find anything. they remembered he donated blood so they buried the vile of blood..
ah sorry i kept going on about it, its just something i get passionate about. my best friends dad died he was a cop and a volunteer fireman
i just think around here more should be done to remember

I went to class, I only had one and I"ve been walking around Manhattan for a few hours. I actually bought a camera and been taking pictures of the things I've seen. I find weird that there's not that many things that actually invoke 9-11. I'm waiting till night for the last few cause I'm assuming the Empire State building will be lit up in red white and blue and if you're never seen it it's absolutely amazing. If anyone wants to see the photos just email me.

My school did pretty much nothing. In history, we watched a 15 minute or so video full of news clips and stuff from 9/11. One was really surreal. It was this shot of some firefighters working about 5 or 6 blocks from the Trade Center. Suddenly the camera looks up and the first plane crashes into the tower. I'd never seen that shot before. It felt like I'd been hit with a ton of bricks. And it's two years later. Then they showed the second plane, I'd seen that video thousands of times. They showed that one reporter lady crying as she interviewed families who were looking for missing family members. I was trying not to cry. They showed all the people covered in the debris and ash after the buildings came down. And a few kids in my class said something, I couldn't hear them, and they laughed. I had to bite my tongue and restrain myself from bursting out yelling at them. How inconsiderate. Then in English, my teacher asked us why we are proud to be Americans. But that was it. No moment of silence, other than the one we do everyday for like 2 seconds. Nothing. Not even really a mention of it. I was dissapointed and a little mad. That video brought me back two years and I still feel the same as I did then. Sorry if this was long, I just needed to get that out.

i live in washington, (not d.c) we did a moment of silence and people on the intercom spoke of the ones lost, also last year we had drawings of the world trade centers and airplanes, and had the name's of everyone who died in our halls, it was pretty touching. People also handed out pins that said."we will never forget", although nobody at our school was even near new york it was still pretty cool.

Well, we didn't have a moment of silence at school today....what happened two years ago on this date wasn't even mentioned. I thought that people at school would be talking about it, but it seemed like people didn't even realize what day it was. :indiff:
