Bayern threaten to report Man Utd
 Hargreaves has been at Bayern since 1997Bayern Munich have claimed they will report Manchester United to football's world governing body Fifa unless they end their pursuit of Owen Hargreaves. United have confirmed they want to sign the 25-year-old midfielder, who has also stated his desire to join them. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned United to cease their interest or "we will turn to Fifa". "A club may only contact a player when the club holding his contract agrees to it," he told German newspaper tz. England international Hargreaves has a contract with Bayern running until 2010.

Wenger bids for Chelsea's Gallas
 Arsenal are believed to want Gallas (r) in part-exchange for ColeArsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he has made an offer for Chelsea defender William Gallas, as the Ashley Cole saga rumbles on. Wenger, who is reported to want Gallas in part-exchange for Cole, said Cole's departure remains "50/50". He added: "We are still in no man's land surrounding Cole's move. I made an offer for William Gallas and that is how far we are. "I am very keen to resolve all of this. I want the squad to be settled."
