A question

Those who still live with their mothers: Do your mothers let you go to underage discos at a local nightclub (about 10km/6mil away).

Mothers: Would you let your son go to a nightclub in the above situation, when older kids (I'm 13 7/12yrs, others 13 0/12yrs go)?

My mother is not letting me go. Reasons:

I am not old enough
I have time to do "grown up" stuff
I will get scared
I will get raped

A second person has asked me to go. I wonder if that will change.

Furthermore you are thirteen, you are still young, and your mom can be right that the time will come when you will do more "grown up" stuff. Honestly, I don't think you'd be missing much at a club anyway.

I use to sneak around to punk shows though, which were held in a dilapidated building full of drunk and mostly drugged up punk-types, so I probably shouldn't talk...

I know that I'm a hypocrite though, so I would advise you against going.
