Question The Great Debate: Green Day v. Blink 182
Okay, guys. I’ve been wondering about this topic for quite some time.

We all know Blink 182 had some internal issues. But putting all that aside-

Why couldn’t Blink 182 become as successful as Green Day? Why couldn’t Blink’s last album become as hugely popular as American Idiot?

Both Green Day and Blink are of the same genre, so I don’t see how success couldn’t follow both bands.

Without even considering the friction within Blink, can you guys tell me why Mark/Tom/Travis couldn’t become as big as Billie Joe/Mike/Tre?

What does everyone here think? And which band do you prefer overall?

If blink was as great as green day, they wouldnt have broken up.

and which band is better is just a matter of taste, therefore a debate is pretty pointless.
All you can have is a majority.

They aren't really the same though

It really is all a matter of taste and marketing, I also don't think Blinks last album was very mainstream or radio friendly whereas American Idiot was....

I'd choose Blink over Green Day any day, but thats just my opinion

Hi, Everyone back in 2005 I uploaded a MINI CONCERT on Green Day, and I just wondered if the links still work, so I searched my drives for the codes and you know what? 7 of the 8 parts STILL WORK!!

Now I dont have the original RARs anymore so I cant upload them again, I dont have the video on drive either to make it again, but the whole concert was upload in RARs of 93MB and the last part was 25MB, and its the LAST part that MEGAUPLOAD doesnt have anymore.

YOU SHOULD STILL BE ABLE TO GET 90% of the concert from the rest of the rars if you want to.
