WHY: Forget the questionable club bids, the dime-store-surreal videos and even the quite good Lily Allen tribute tracks. This is Ashlee qua Ashlee, strikingly conflicted and unsure: "desperate, not desperate," "this is like a fairy tale without a happy ending" and "I guess we're really over, so come over."

No Timbaland tics here. No ska horns. No annoyingly snappy attitude. This is the rousing, angsty power ballad everybody (especially her label) has been waiting for. Happy (sad) Friday.

The bridge reminds me of MHE a bit. With the whole "happy ending, and pretending" line.
It wouldn't be good if Butch indeed worked on this. It's not that orginal if he did.
