hey, this is boxcar_canuck, since the past forums was crashed down by a terrible dame, I can't log-in to my old username. That's why I decided to create a new one

AVA is the band composed of ex Blink 182 Tom Delonge, Dave Kennedy, Ryan Sinn and Atom Willard. What's your fav songs of them? they already released their WE DON'T NEED TO WHISPHER album a month ago.

I'm disappointed in Ryan Sinn.

AVA is SO PRETENTIOUS. Tom was better in Blink - at least he didn't take himself so seriously.

I don't know where to start with my opinion on Angels & Airwaves. I guess I'm somewhat disappointed with the album. I wasn't expecting it to live up to the hype, that would've been naive, but I was hoping for a solid album from a band of well-established musicians. We Don't Need To Whisper isn't a bad album, but I think it could've been a lot better.

One problem was Tom having pretty much complete creative control. When he was in Blink-182, his ideas would be honed down and perfected by Mark, Travis and usually a producer. In AVA, every idea remains untouched by seemingly spineless bandmates. It's hard to see errors in your own creations, which is why Tom needs a producer or someone to criticize his songs and ideas.

Anyways, my favourites are... "Start The Machine", "Do It For Me Now", and "The War".

Very true. I like their music (not as much as I hoped I would), but I think their "message" is bullshit.

And if Tom wants to be taken seriously as a musician, he's really gonna have to improve his live singing.

i like them thier album is really good having said that though i would rather be listening to a new Blink 182 album

I prefer Angel & Airwaves and Box Car Racer albums to the last Blink album...plus A&A were a lot better live than the times I've seen Blink...

That's because they have Ryan Sinn and Ryan Sinn is amazing and more than makes up for Tom's suckiness. <33333

Also because they use backing tracks... which kind of negates the 'live' thing.

I think Blink's last album was far better than both Angels & Airwaves and Box Car Racer... and I love Box Car Racer.

I bought the A&A CD, and it was not that bad, but not that great. The songs somtimes got a little...boring. I like Box Car Racer and Blink WAY better than A&A, but I'll see them live this week with Taking Back Sunday, so I'll make my final decision then.

The best songs off the album are "The War" and "The Adventure"

i have one more thing to add Tom Delonge hyped them up too much so they could never live up to how he described them thats why i was abit dissapointed!
