And, Joel is engaged to Nicole Richie now, and THEY ARE HAVING A CHILD.

Also, I don't entirely disagree on the 8 months thing, but longer relationships don't always mean anything. Her sister dated Nick Lachey for like 4 years before they got married and look how that turned out.

Apparently she's turning her life around. They had baby shower guests each give the baby a book, and donated any other gifts to charity, basically giving 100 needy, expectant moms baby stuff they really really need.
