Hahaha, sorry 3.14. Didn't know.
PS. I got to see the Blood Brother record their new "young machetes" album in the studio when I was in Seattle. I got an early copy of it from them back in september. <3
Anyways, I may not know you St. Jimmy, but I've been here long enough over the years to know you NEVER give up in a scuffle St. Jimmy (which I admire, because it's typically the way I am), but we've both expressed our opinions uite nicely, so I'll just reply to a few last things in your post I think are worth mentioning.
There's a lot of stupid kids at these shows, and regardless of certain people who go to certain shows, I go to anything. And being experienced in these certain type of shows, if the older ones act crazy, then thse kids will back off.
And I'm glad you've been to a Dillinger Escape Plan show. But a lot of people who've never heard them have been to a DEP show. Going to a show means nothing. It's actually buying their albums, appreciating what they do, and supporting what you like that actually means something. Such as what you like to do with your bands in your signature.
And yeah, that is the beauty of message boards. But I was also making that out towards the ones who felt like stepping in and being little dictators.
"no OFFENCE but your a prick. no one cares about your opinion!"
And I've been to a lot of shows as well. The difference between us is I can't find myself listening to very medicore or musically simple music. My enjoyment in music is the technicality, and that's just the way I am.

Fair enough. Just, for me, music is an emotional thing, and it doesn't matter if a guitarist can play like 35 notes a second if there's no emotion behind any of them... or if the music doesn't make me feel anything (even if it's ridiculously happy and/or like I'm 14 again).
But that's just me. I totally respect your opinion + feeling.
(Sidenote: Pink Floyd. Good example of both sides: technical skill and emotion. I'm ranting. Why? Sleep deprivation. Good times.)

I was in Seattle. I got to see pretty much every band I love outside of a venue.
Thomas Erak of The Fall of Troy was buying shitty wheat bread.
Dave Knudson of Botch accidentely took my starbucks coffee.
It was just weird. And cool at the same.
St. Jimmy - All music has emotion, and like you, I listen to music for the emotion as well. I find the technicality as part of that emotion in music.
It's like a vocal artist. The harder that vocalist tries, the higher they hit that note, or whatever, takes skill and technicality, yet, also displays so much more emotion than if someone was simply whining into a mic. And the same goes with insturments to me.

CONVERGE <333.
No Heroes is probably their best album yet. Fucking intense man.
I also downloaded the Incubus album last night. It's not too bad, actually. I still find a crow left on the murder as their best album though. The guitar riffs are so damn catchy.

Yeah its not bad...I'm just not overly feeling it. To be honest got a few other albums I'm wanting to listen to instead really...
Morning View in most likely my fave Incubus album (I know thats the Girlie one)
Jane Doe, No Heroes and Petitioning the Empty Sky (reissue) covers the Converge I have...

THANK YOU. So many die-hard Incubus fans think that album sucked and I'm like, "you're stupid." Heh.
Light Grenades is more of a return to Make Yourself, which is personally my favourite Incubus album, so I really like it. I never really got into Morning View, but A Crow Left Of The Murder was really good and my second-favourite.
