Dead Kennedys
America's answer to sex pistols back in the 80's. Dead Kennedys are probably the best punk band to ever exist yet. They were also a lot more politically involved, and were more about awareness than being anarchists.

My best friend got a DK t shirt from his girlfriend, and he doesn't even listen to them. It pisses me off. I'm goona steal it from him. And then say he sold it to me when he was drunk. He blackouts all the time, so it'll work like a charm.
