^Great for you!!! Tell us how it goes! I have a particular intrest in if Canadian audiences are more respectful of T&S than American audiences. They had a terrible time being heard their last time around the states.

Just bumped into this while searching for One Second (from their I'll Take The Blame EP):

2007 In Review By Tegan R. Quin!
1. Top 5 songs:

Turn it up - Robots in Disguise
I just love these guys so much. I've been listening to them for 4 years now and I love everything they have ever put out. They are wicked weird.

Challengers - The New Pornographers
A more mellow record from one of my favourite bands, but I love every song,
especially this one and Go Places. So worth owning.

Music is my hot, hot sex - CSS
I love this record. Gets me very excited to play. I have it on our playlist for before we go on stage.

Starts with One - Shiny Toy Guns
I saw a live performance of this song on MTV in Canada and I just loved the song. I really love the record as well.

On my way back home again - Jim Ward
I think Jim is a genius. I love Sparta, I was a huge fan of At The Drive In as well...but this EP is my favourite thing to come out of this man to date. Brilliant.

2. Top 10 Records:

Challengers - The New Pornographers
This is a great record. I listened to it in my bunk in Europe this summer night after night. My favourite lyric is " no matter the mess you are, you're mine okay". Breaks my heart.

Jim Ward - Quiet EP
I honestly believe Jim is a genius. His voice gives me goose bumps. "I find it hard to turn you off when you're not here". Probably sums up my past love addict behaviour better than even I could.

The National - Boxer
I love every song on this record. I was so late on the National. I feel intense guilt about this. I intend on being a super fan to make up for it.

The Blow - Paper Television
True Affection and Parentheses are two of my favourites off this record. Genius. Sweet in a way I can't ever possibly be. I listen and pretend I'm someone different.

Northern State - Can I Keep This Pen?
We've been touring around North America with Northern State for months now. I asked them to tour with us specifically because I think this record is so important. I think they are 3 of the most talented women in our business. They put on a great show and they made one of the strongest offerings of 07 in my humble opinion.

Bonde do Role - With Lazers
I saw a special on these guys up in Canada. They have great energy and I think this is an amazing first record.

Against Me - New Wave
I am a huge stalker-fan of this band. I love this record. Not just because I sang on it and Butch Vig produced, but because I think Tom is an amazing writer. One of a kind. He's going to change our generation.

Bat For Lashes - Fur and Gold
This record haunted me this summer. The song Prescilla would get stuck in my head for days on end. It drove me absolutely nuts. In a good way.

The Killers - Sams Town
I don't know if this came out in 07. But if it didn't, it should have. I listen to this record daily.

Junior Boys - So this is goodbye
Same goes for Junior Boys so this is goodbye. I'm pretty sure I was late to this party too. But I love them. I love this record. It gives me stomach pains. It is also the record we listened to every night on the way home from the studio
when we were making The Con.

3. Top 5 Live Shows:

Northern State – Stubbs (Austin, Texas)
They said Mother Fucker so many times it made me cry I was laughing so hard. They worked that crowd as if it was their own and honestly those 2000 fans that were there to see Tegan and Sara converted to Northern State fans...one by one....by the end of the set it felt like we should all just go home. Genius.

Against Me - Croatian Cultural Center (Vancouver, BC)
One of my favourite shows of all time. I sang along like I was 15 and alone in my bedroom. They make me so happy.

Tom Waits - Bridge School Benefit (Mountain View, CA)
Haunting, intelligent and hilarious. I watched side stage in awe. Truly amazing.

Bus Driver - Richards on Richards (Vancouver, BC)
This totally surprised me. I was there to see Coco Rosie and I was blown off my feet. It was audio assault and I loved every second of it.

The Streets – Montreal, Quebec
I think this man is amazing. Watching him perform was a dream. I had to pull strings to get tickets. I was in town visiting Sara and found out about the shows hours before. I stood in the middle of the club and wished I was a boy...so I could be him.

Here's a remix of Back In Your Head:
http://theremixcompany.co.uk/mp3/teganandsararacmix.mp3 (right click, save target as)

and

I Take All The Blame - YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement
This is experimental, and it's quite nice, though not that The Con material (good they didn't include it).

I couldn't find One Second (this one's got more of their earlier works' vibe)... got it from LimeWire, though .

CSS is cool. I dig Tom Waits. That's a cool list, though I've heard that Northern State is cheesy in a bad way.

I have stuff only of Against Me!, The Killers and Tom Waits.

I just checked Northern State. It says they're a hip-hop/rock/pop group. I'm afraid I won't dig this.

I like the remix of Back In Your Head.

So, hi, I am in love with Tegan because she loves the Junior Boys and you guys that is seriously an incredible album. It's so.... indescribable. "In The Morning" off of it is hands down the best song of 2007.

I probably missed a few pages but does anyone have AP with them on the cover? Such a good article, and I never expected them to be on the cover of AP. Awesomely the alternate cover is Against Me!. (ps New Wave? Also a wicked album).

lol I wore my Tegan and Sara shirt to the Soundwave music festival on the weekend and got so many high fives. This one girl came up to me and was like "Your a champ, walk around wearing that shirt thinking your the shit because you are." God, it was hilarious.

Just thought I'd give that a share

Why in Canada are so many talented musicians? Especially girls? Rhetorical question.

Me - Marcin and my best friend (a girl named Kasia) from other town but from the same forum avrilfans.pl fucking love these girls!

These girls are super fun when talking about some different situations from their life between songs on stage (just take a look on some videos on YT or MSpace), have awesome lyrics and songs and very characteristic voices! Unique!

My favourite albums are Under Feet Like Ours (sounds like Jewel music - i like Jewel too xD), So Jealous and latest The Con

They are now on tour in Europe. I want to be on T&S concert in Germany (because closest to my country) but tickets... are available only for people from Germany. I'm contacted with some very good concert agency in my country telling them about T&S and they wrote back to me - "In case Tegan & Sara if it will be possible, then we gonna fight to bring girls here to Poland. But right now they concentrating on biggest music markets then ours."

This is straight from T&S Myspace bulletin from past few days:

From: Tegan and Sara
Date: 28 Feb 2008, 21:38
Subject: T+S on CBC's Concerts on Demand
Body: Hear a recording of one of the most exciting shows Tegan and Sara have ever played, at the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary, AB. It was a hometown show and their biggest crowd for a headlining show ever! CBC is streaming the entire concert on their website as part of Concerts on Demand.

Here's the link - CBC Radio Two - Concerts on Demand

MP3's - PM me if any interested. 128kbps only because online streaming source from link above is 128kbps.

Marcin

LOL Pruey! I'd love a shirt myself! Damn, I want to order one. I swear I'll check out for one now.

Bu before that, I'd like to post this funny article.

Interview: Tegan And Sara
Read more on Tegan And Sara

Tegan And Sara, acoustic indie rock twins, have been playing shows for over a decade. Some good. Some bad. Some outright bizarre. Rock Sound caught up with Sara to get a rundown of the highs and lows of ten years touring...

The Worst
''We once did a tour sandwiched between Cake and Gogol Bordello,'' she admits with no pun intended. ''That was a fucking nightmare for us because those bands attracted a lot more men and it was loud and crazy and then we would go onstage after the madness of Gogol and be all quiet. Everyone just screamed fuck you through our set most nights. Generally the people we tour with are great though so that helps when the audience is against you.''

The Easist
''Probably two tours before that when we opened for The Killers, it was effortless as their audience was amazing and it was a real high for us.''

The Heaviest
''We just toured in Germany and we did a show with Brand New, Chris Cornell and bands like that, when we are paired with bands not from our genre the audience really seems to like it. We did recently play with Metallica however, so I guess it must be that.''

The Strangest
''Nelly Furtado and Bryan Adams in 2000. It was weird, we were afraid as we had to rely on a lot of other people who did not understand our project as the scale of the shows were so large. Nelly was really sweet, she had not really broken through internationally at that point. Bryan Adams was really nice but I’m sure he was constantly confused why two teenagers with acoustic guitars were opening the show for him every night when he had 10,000 people waiting for him to go on. When they opened the gates people would come running into the venues to get up close to the barrier and me and Tegan came on and it was very awkward. No one really expected us to be there.''

The Indiest
''It is weird, Tegan and I think we are in the indie world but we never really bonded with any of the bands like Interpol, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene. Instead of touring with them we found bands like Cancer Bats, Brand New and Against Me! started reaching out and we found ourselves playing there. We are awkward, I guess we fit between the spaces.''

Andrew Kelham

Interpol, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene =
