Rihanna and Katy Perry: New BFFs or More?

It's good to see that Rihanna is taking advice from someone, if not her parents or Oprah.

Singer Katy Perry ("I Kissed a Girl") and Rihanna are said to be "inseparable" in the weeks after her famous beatdown by Chris Brown.

Katy has been taking Rihanna out clubbing, in the hopes of lifting her spirits.

“Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it," a friend tells the Sun. “Both of them have had man troubles recently so they are enjoying having some girlie time.”

Katy recently broke up with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy and is rumored to be dating Josh Groban.

According the friend, Rihanna and Katy are planning to take their new-found friendship to the beaches of Puerto Rico for vacation.

Wait a second, is Rihanna taking this "friendship" to another level? The How You Doin' level.

I always seem to hear about one celebrity buddying up with another celebrity and then the next week they are worst enemies due to the fact one has slept with the other one’s boyfriend, and to be honest, I don’t care!
The latest couple to start a brand new friendship is Rihanna and Katy Perry. Apparently the couple have been inseparable of recent . They have no doubt been discussing men problems due to the recent attack on Rihanna and Katy’s split from Travis.
Katy got in touch with Rihanna after all the Chris Brown problems and has apparently been taking her on girlie nights outs to help cheer her up. Hmm, is Katy really the right person to be helping Rihanna through her problems, I’m not so sure about that. Katy seems abit mischievous and could influence Rihanna to do things she wouldn’t normally do!
A source close to the pair has said:

The pair are hoping to jet away to Puerto Rico if they can find time in their busy schedules to let their hair down and get away from it all.

Katy Perry and Rihanna have forged a new friendship following the “Umbrella” singer’s alleged altercation with boyfriend Chris Brown last month.
Katy, 24, contacted Rihanna after the beating incident in February and has quickly become a support system for the 21-year-old star, The Sun reports. We hear the girls are now even trying to rearrange their schedules so that they can take a Ladies Only trip to Puerto Rico this summer.

Who’s more eccentric then Lady Gaga these days? Well, Katy Perry tries to be! She sings lesbian songs, she wears weird clothes, she has aggressive behavior in her clips and she was seen wearing a knife. What else she can do in order to turn attention over her?

I mean, this girl seems to fear of nothing. Or…According to what she says the only thing she avoids is pregnancy (maybe she realize how the world would look with two of her). So she takes birth control pills to have no worry about having a baby. And she actually finds the pills kind of tasty: "I basically chew my birth control tablets - I chew them like vitamin C, I'm like, "nomnomnomnom"

The beautiful but little bizarre singer admits that she wants to get married, but not until she will be 30 years old. And all that because she is too preoccupied with her career. "During the next two or three years, if I do things right, I will have a real career, and if I don't, well, I'll just be that girl who kissed a girl", she said.

Well, with that she is right: instead of having a baby and not be able to take care of him, better to not have him at all.

She said: "I love being in love, I love the idea of marriage and making babies - but not yet. Not until I'm 30. I basically chew my birth control tablets - I chew them like vitamin C, I'm like, 'nomnomnomnom.' "
The 24-year-old star - who split from Gym Class Heroes star Travis McCoy last year - is too focused on her career to even consider the possibility of starting a family.
She said in an interview with Paper Magazine: "It's one of those things where I have no energy left to give to anybody. It doesn't matter if I love them or not. I give it all away on tour and when I'm meeting people.

She added: "There are about five hundred other girls who are trying to and dying to be in my position - I can't take anything for granted. It's all about work - it has to be. I learnt everything from reading the Madonna autobiography."

CHART-TOPPER Katy Perry is desperate to work with Scots star Calvin Harris on her next record.
The American singer reckons Calvin could help her produce another few hits as she revs up to start work on her next album.
And she appealed to the Dumfries DJ/producer to be a hard task master so she can get next record out quickly after her 2008 smash-hit album, One of the Boys, took five years to make.
The I Kissed A Girl singer said: "My next record will be a more present record. I'm hopefully going to make my next record in a lot less time than the first one.
"I still want to make a pop record, but I want to make a fun, Calvin Harris-style record. I'm hoping to work with him on it, actually."
The hit-maker added that she's determined to produce another album in record time so she doesn't lose her Pop Princess tiara.
And she admitted she was wary about getting carried away after being axed by record labels Def Jam and Columbia Records earlier in her career.
She said: "There are about 500 other girls who are desperate to be in my position, I can't take anything for granted.
"I remember living in Beverly Hills and having a new black car, being very comfortable on my monthly wage, and my cousin looked at me and said, 'Katy, this can go away,' and I was like, 'It's never going to go away.' And then it did.
"I recall that moment so clearly when I would write a cheque for my rent with $15 in my bank account and on the memo I would write, 'God, please help.'
"So this is an important time in my life. During the next two or three years, if I do things right, I will have a real career, and if I don't I'll just be that girl who kissed a girl."
But hard work has left Katy with little time for love.
She said: "I love the idea of being in love, marriage and making babies, but not yet. Not until I'm 30.

London, Apr 2 (ANI): Katy Perry is so determined not to get pregnant that she constantly chews birth control pills.
The singer says that she would love to start a family one-day, but is currently too busy focusing on her career to even contemplate about having kids.
“I love being in love, I love the idea of marriage and making babies - but not yet. Not until I’m 30,” the Sun quoted Perry, as telling Paper magazine.
“I basically chew my birth control tablets - I chew them like vitamin C, I’m like, ‘nomnomnomnom,’ ” she added.
She added: “This is a really important time in my life. During the next two or three years, if I do things right, I will have a real career, and if I don’t, well, I’ll just be that girl who kissed a girl.”

Katy Perry was the victim of an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank Wednesday.
The 'Thinking Of You' singer was furious when her 20-year-old brother told her he had impregnated a "white trash" stranger.
Writing on her blog, the star said: "Anyways… this morning as I was shopping around Boston i get a text from my 20 year old tulsa oklahoma living brother saying, 'I messed up you should talk to sister'
"Oh no what does THAT mean. Then after talking to sister come to find out he says he prego-ed some white trash girl’s ego and that she was keeping it and i was gonna be auntie katy. (sic)"
The 24-year-old singer immediately phoned her brother to berate him.
She said: "I tried to talk to him and tell him that life may not be so easy playing daddy to an 18 year old girl whom you barely know that comes from a 'situation' at home as well.
"I also gave him a sturdy thrashing about how he’s not gonna ruin the hudson-perry kin. When we siblings decide to grow little ones it won’t be on accident with a stranger… ew. (sic)"
As Katy's emotions began to get the better of her, her cheeky sibling revealed his trick.
She wrote: "So here i was sitting in my hotel room wondering how am i gonna talk to this girl that wants to play mommy for a couple months and how to register online for the maternity section of WHERE THE HELL EVER.
"Then bam. Right as you know it… brother beats me to it. april fools. " Katy was relieved, but even angrier than before.
She said: "You little suck (expletive) i will get you. That is the OLDEST one in the book and I used that on you LAST YEAR. and p.s. WHY also does every girl go for that ‘I’m preggos’ april fools joke. BE CREATIVE. Jeeze. (sic)"

Zooey Deschanel Wants You To Know That She's Not Katy Perry

'It's a little bit annoying,' actress says of comparisons to the singer.

There are many benefits to being Zooey Deschanel. Getting mistaken for Katy Perry is not one of them.
"It's a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt. The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike," she laughed. "I have met her before. She seems like a nice person. I'm happy that she's famous enough now that she's not going out and being mistaken for me."
At first, we thought that Deschanel was joking. But she continued, saying that for months now, pretty much everyone has been confusing her with Perry. And, to be honest, it's starting to get a bit bizarre.


"I used to get, 'I heard you were out at such-and-such club drinking whiskey!' [when] I was at home watching TV," Deschanel said. "I think we lead very different lives. At some point I feel like this will stop being a thing. I like the way my life goes. It's sort of strange to be associated with someone that's doing such different stuff than me. It's weird."
Such is the way things tend to operate for Deschanel these days. In addition to having a new film (the indie "Gigantic," where she stars opposite Paul Dano) and a new album in the works (the follow-up to She & Him's 2008 effort Volume One), she's also been having to deal with the media attention surrounding her engagement to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard. None of this is particularly appealing to her, which is why she's been trying very hard to avoid the spotlight lately.
"I took a little bit of a break ... It's a good direction to go as I approach 30. I've been writing a lot and we've been doing some recording. I'm in an input phase," she explained. "I did so many movies in a row, and then my record came out and I went on tour. I needed a rest so I could fill up the vase with water. The vase is at a healthy level."
And she's aiming to keep things at that level — which means unplugging from pretty much everything. So, you know, if you happen to see a Zooey Deschanel Twitter account pop up one of these days, rest assured that it's not actually her.
"I know a lot of people that have had fake Twitters ... actors and musicians that I know. It's sort of a problem. There are all these people that sign up thinking that they're getting somebody's real thoughts when it's just some guy," she sighed. "There was a fake Twitterer of Ben. It was so silly because it was like all stuff like, 'I can't sleep!' I was like, 'Really? You can't think of anything better to do than to pretend to be someone else on Twitter and say you can't sleep? Come on, guy!' Ben doesn't do social networking things. Someone e-mailed him and asked him, 'Is this you?' It's one thing if they're harmless saying, 'I can't sleep,' but it's another if they're like, 'Hey, ladies! Who's around?' "
